I think my point may have been mistaken a bit, but I'm not backing down from it. I meant to say that I think our team has turned a bit of a corner as of late and will be competitive for the rest of the year. I think the competitiveness will lead us to a playoff spot and if it does, there isn't a team that I would be shitting myself to have to play.
Blinded by mediocrity, since when is it considered a bright spot to be competitive and lose. Jets fans are so doubtful of any meaningful win, that we grasp at any shiny object and think its the second coming. Back to earth folks, we got lucky and beat the Fish, beat the Bills (who suck) and beat the hapless colts. Rex has us happy that we were competitive? Are you freakin kidding me? Since when is ok to show up and put on a decent show, only to shit the bed and lose? That is what we are doing, I dont see it changing, anytime soon. I want to see accountability, for both boneheaded play calling and stupid mistakes made on the field.
We lost to the Patriots on the road in OT. It wasn't like they dominated us like all the darksiders predicted. We CAN make the playoffs, it's not that unrealistic at all. The conference is weak and our offense is slowly starting to click, especially in the ground game.
They took he 2 best offenses to the wire , and got fucked today. They need to play beyond th officiating crew. Yes they can
We did not lose to the Pats. We lost to the Zebras. We need to be a few points better to negate that.
Put me down as being with the OP. When we lost our stars, things looked real, real bleak. This is not the team that went through training camp together. This is a Hodge-podge team of basically 9 rookies coming together under fire. And they're getting better each week. Beat a rookie QB next week at home, and go into the bye at 4-4. Use the bye to get healthy (Mangold, McKnight, Greene, Pouha, Ellis) and get even better and come out on fire....something we never did with old vets running the show.
