I would leave #1 empty to be honest. But someone has to take it by default I guess. No team has looked dominant especially since we almost beat HOU and then GB waxed them.

New England is #1 until they prove otherwise. Just because they've dropped a couple early doesn't mean anything. The best teams typically play their best ball later in the season.

Ravens and Texans are a virtual lock. The NFC West is a two horse race. Sixth seed is really what is wide open. Unfortunately to us we're down to Pittsburgh in that.

Still think the Ravens offense will be able to do some damage to New England's secondary in the playoffs, that is if Houston doesn't get to Baltimore first. The wild card is Denver. They could get on a real hot streak here and wind up 10-6, 11-5 and in the Super Bowl as long as they don't run into New England. I like their chances against a Lewis/Webb-less Baltimore and Houston's a toss up.

Those will be your unquestioned division champions and the four teams competing for the AFC. It doesn't matter which two teams -- Jets, Bengals, Steelers, Chargers, Dolphins -- claim the two Wild Card berths. They'll be quick exits.

I honestly agree for the most part, but have to throw in that you can never say never. The Steelers getting healthy, and going on a road winning streak in the playoffs, SD getting it right and going on their typical winning streak, etc. could easily happen.

It's just that if you have to predict the future, the 4 teams you mentioned are the obvious favorites, and rightfully so.
