I loved Washington, but I didn't have any problem getting rid of him after his injury. McKnight is fine as a kick returner, and I'd rather see him rotate in than Powell at this point.

Also, McKnight didn't have many opportunities to play offense prior to this year with LDT and Greene here.

Greene > Powell and they run the same, McKnight should get more carries, he is more explosive

The injury part aside, it would be MUCH better to have Leon here under the current situation. You could use the same argument next year when it involves Revis. All of you who are new to this will miss the dudes who really contribute to this teams sucess.

The only reason that I wish Washington were still around is his ability to catch the ball out of the backfield. That's a missing element that would really help Sanchez.

I guess those of us that were asking some questions about Connor a little while back were on to something....where there's smoke there's fire!

I thought Connor would be great for our running game. He was blowing people up in preseason, but his rushing and pass catching problems finally caught up to him. I hope he gets well and finds another team to give him a try.

I like his replacement. Hilliard was a good pick up.

Greene and Powell are completely different types of runners. I'm not even sure how you came to that conclusion.

And McNugget shouldn't even be a runningback.

Agreed. Not to mention part of the reason Washington was traded was because he wanted a bigger contract than was offered. He also held out of camp the year he was hurt.

No he did not. He wanted one before the leg injury and he held out of camp. Then later in that season he got hurt. So with all these factors involved, knowing how much he wanted before the injury, the chance that he may not be the same after the injury, and the insult the org seems to take when someone holds out... Tanny traded him.

One dimensional fullbacks like Conner are pretty much useless in the modern NFL. Despite the fact that his run blocking wasn't even that great, he had nothing else to his game. Shitty receiver, poor in short yardage runs, average at best in pass protection.

I've been waiting for this day since he proved he was a worthless pile of dung last season. Why Lex Hilliard didn't make New England or stick in Minnesota during TC is beyond me. He's a decent, not great, but decent FB, which is light years ahead of John Conner.

Last year wasn't the problem. Again, he graded very well last year.

From what I've read he was having trouble picking up the new offense and then the injury just compounded things.

Anybody have film of Hilliard at FB? I can honestly say I've never seen him play.
