Jets had injury settlement with fullback John Conner. He may return, Rex says. Marcus Dowtin will be elevated to active roster #nyj

I am sure we will see him again sometime in the near future. That is Rex and Tannys MO. Personally Conner has been a disappointment and wouldn't mind not seeing his return.

    Looks like the corresponding move

    Jets RapidReports ‏@CBSJets
#Jets have promoted LB Marcus Dowtin from the practice squad.

what an awful trade the Leon Washington trade was, trading hima way, getting a pick that turned into Connor and having to waste a pick on McKnight.

Yup, Washington is really tearing it up in Seattle.

Leon has done nothing since leaving the Jets and Mcknight has been a better returning kicks outside of 2010.

Didn't think they'd cut him. Guess I was dead wrong, again.

    Nice!

That season of Hard Knocks built Conner up to a level he could hard acheive.

not tearing it up but still a good KR who would be better here w/ Westhoff, a good LR guy and we wouldn't have had to use another pick on a KR/RB if we kept him.

So what if he hasn't done anything in Seattle. He would be the no.1 RB for the NYJ today and the offense's lone playmaker. The fact that it took 3 years for McKnight to make an impactful play on offense tells you enough right there. It was a terrible trade.

it sounds like they will re-sign him at some point(unless another team swoops in).

Guessing Tanny reads TGG :p sucks for him... he seemed like a good guy... but we found an upgrade.
Surprised we promoted a LB and not a WR (or signed a RB).

Seeing Leon Washington rip of that big return when the Seahawks really needed something @ ending of the game gave me all kinds of flashbacks on how much I enjoyed watching him play. Unless Seattle plays the Jets, I'm always hoping he does well over there.

With Westhoff, Jets will always have a good return game but I really think Leon would have brought more as a 3rd down back. LT had excellent hands but was really lacking the ability to break tackles in the open field (and we can't blame the guy because we caught him @ ending of his career).

Terrible might be a bit harsh. Bad, maybe, but terrible should be reserved for sending a superstar one way for a useless scrub. We moved a somewhat useful guy for a somewhat useful guy. On a scale from 1 to 10 with one being "worst trade of all time" and 10 being "best trade of all time" it's probably a 5 or maybe a 4 at worst.

I'll be back. Conner wiill probably be signed when he heals. I'm excited to see what Dotwin can do. He is fast as Demario Davis and that is what this linebacker corp needs. I was glad they signed him when he went undrafted. Let's see what he's got.
