Rodgers, Manning, Brady, Brees, Newton, RG3, Rapelisberger, Matt Ryan, Alex Smith, Eli Manning, Peyton Manning, Ponder, Flacco, Dalton, Schaub, Wilson, Rivers, Freeman, Romo, Bradford, Stafford, Vick, Tannehill, Luck, Carson Palmer are all better than/preferable to Sanchez without an argument.

Sanchez is outside of the Top 25.

But if I were to rank QBs in order of the degree to which they are solidified in the starting role Sanchez would be much higher (for financial reasons only).

There is no need for a poll, the stats don't lie and in his 4 years in the league he has been 28th, 27th, 23rd and 31st. To paraphrase Parcells , you are what your stats say you are.

    He is garbage.

I doubt Parcells gives much of a shit about stats beyond wins and losses which is what his famous quote was actually about. "You are what your record says you are."

Are you one of the guys who thinks Sanchez played like shit vs. Indy because he had 82 yards passing?

I can't even cast a vote because my feeling is that Sanchez needs to be surrounded by a better supporting cast to show what he really brings to the table.

Absolutely not, I thought it might have been his best game all year. I can't remember one underthrown or overthrown pass all day, not that he needed to throw many. My problem with him has always been his accuracy, footwork and the fact he rarely looks past his primary receiver although he also did that this week.

right now he's bottom 3rd, 2 years ago he was top 10-12, last year he was mid of the pack. His ceiling is top 10. I don't care where he is ranked, I care that we win.

I would put him in the top 15...but only if he is given the right tools to progress. Mark's biggest problems lie in the fact that he doesn't have many "functional" pieces around him. If he had the necessary O-Line strength, TE, RB, and WR's, I could see him being in the top 15. However, right now, I would put him in the top 20. I don't think he's horrible and there is definitely room for improvement and growth. Maybe he is a slower developer than most QB's? Just my two cents.

I think people ranking him low in favor of other QBs are ignoring the difference in what Sanchez has compared to those other QBs. Especially the people talking about stats as their basis of comparison.

If you did a straight up trade for a lot of the guys people are ranking ahead of Sanchez we are absolutely no better because now guys like Smith, Flacco, Cutler, Rivers, etc. are throwing to mediocre receivers.

Like someone said: If Sanchez was playing for the 49ers or Baltimore where they have a better offense in general (especially run game and play action) he would be getting praised for being a potential SB winning QB. On the flip side if we had Smith or Flacco people would be wanting to run them out of town, probably ranking Sanchez ahead of them as well

Very good poll. Although I've posted some negative comments concerning Mark's career performances I don't think he sucks or is worst in the league. It was more in response to posters who I felt were placing Mark in the top 5-10. Seems to me that this forum's general consensus is Mark is average to below average (assuming the poll results hold up).

Wow whatever U R in it is not the real world at least for me since it is not about MS but it is about NOT winning a SB in 40 some odd years

Top 25. Anyone who thinks he's higher is delusional. Stop using injuries and "lack" of talent as excuses, Sanchez sucks.

You're logic is that only Sanchez supporters have the intellect or capability to think about different rosters surrounding their QB. How about if the Falcons had Sanchez instead ... does Mark still have a couple of Conference Championship appearances on his resume now? Flacco has developed the ability to look beyond his primary receiver and less prone to bonehead mistakes but I think you're overlooking that development because he also has a strong D & strong running game.

Also, Rivers doesn't belong in this group at all. His team doesn't want him to go out there & just "not get in the way". Rivers needs to go out there & win the game. Go on SD forums & post a Sanchez for Rivers trade straight up to get some non-Jets perspective.

He threw the ball over Kerley's head on the first pass of the game, and he threw one at the feet of Powell on a middle screen in the red zone.

That said, My problem with Sanchez is his accuracy, footwork, ability to read a defense, and his tunnel vision. I have also seen him look like Drew Brees, but those times are far and in between. Hence, consistency.

I honestly have no idea what the hell you are talking about. I am talking strictly about Mark Sanchez, and has nothing to do with winning a superbowl.

If you are talking about sunshiners/darksiders, then I apologize. I would think the terms could be dually used. If Supporters/Haters is more your speed, then by all means, use those.

Also, I had to read it 10 times to try and figure out what you were saying. Please use some punctuation.

    He's better than:

    Fitzpatrick
    Gabbert
Ponder(I don't care what he's done in the 1st 6 games, need to see more before he gets to the next tier)
    Cassell
    Freeman
    Kolb/Skelton
    Russell Wilson
    Weeden
    Hasselback/Locker

    Same Plateau as:
    Alex Smith
    Tannehill
    Luck(Though Luck has more upside)
    Newton(Same as Luck)
    RG3(Same as the above 2)
    Palmer
    Bradford

Few of the "Same Plateau" guys could be ranked ahead of Mark but he's clearly better than Top 25.

If Sanchez improves somewhat he can then enter the 3rd tier

    Ryan
    Stafford
    Flacco
    Schaub
    Dalton
    Cutler

(Rivers is close to this but i'll keep him on 2nd tier)

I'd take him over Fitzharvard, Tannehill, Weeden, Locker, Gabbert, Palmer, Cassel, Freeman, Kolb, and Bradford. So that leaves him right around #20 in my book.
