Thats playing into the Pats strength on defense. Spikes will have a field day. I don't think Sanchez or our wide receivers are up to it, but we gotta be able to throw down field and make some big plays in the air. Id like to take a few shot downfield to Cromartie.

Maybe we throw Cro on Hernandez and try and take him away completely. he lines up a lot at WR and I like Cro on a taller and lankier player than a small and shiftier one.

Itll be interesting. We absolutely NEED our passrush to step up. Brady was under pressure all game and we need Coples, Mo Wilk and Maybin to step up BIG time. I would even activate Sapp and see what he can do, because Pace cant rush the passer.

If we can run the ball well enough and rush the passer, we could have a shot.

I agree with this. Sanchez is going to have to play lights out and have a day like he did vs Buffalo. We need down field plays. Hopefully Keller and Hill will be 100% and we can get big chunk plays with Kerley picking apart the middle.

I honestly don't think we'll win but I think we can split the series with them, just more likely we win the home game. BB doesn't lose a lot of back-to-back games either. Still, a win would be huge and I hope we can pull it out. Our defense will have to come up huge though, especially covering the TEs.

Do you guys think Sparano has anything up his sleeve for the Pats? Remember he embarrassed them when he broke out the wildcat the first time ...

I think we see a lot of Tebow/Sanchez in the huddle at the same time a lot more. I think we use Cromarite more. I think this is going to be like the HOU game where we dig deep into the bag of tricks.

Well, if the Jets were saving anything, this would be the game to save it for.

Wouldn't surprise me at all if they had some new wrinkles in this game. Not sure if Powell and McKnight's statuses would mean more Tebow or more passing, unless they think Grimes is ready for prime time.

It should be more passing in general since the Pats struggle stopping it. Lets hope we come out as prepared as we were today

I'd like to see Tebow throw the ball some. Defenses seem to shit their pants everytime that happens (assuming our receiver doesnt drop the ball or fumble it after the catch)

Ive felt like they might have been saving something. I kno sparano didnt unleash the wildcat until week 3 in 2008, he saved it for the patriots because that game was obviously most crucial.

Who knows, I cant see anything to drastic, maybe just more passing from Tim. I definately think Cromartie might see some offense, the Seahawks killed the Pats D with the long ball and Cromartie would be a matchup nightmare.

Pats secondary is weakest part of their defense. Passing game must click and take advantage of it.

Just in case you thought the Jets were getting any respect, we're currently 11.5 point dogs.

3 points for HF so that's 8.5 underdogs on a neutral site. That seems about right. The Jets really haven't inspired much confidence and the Patriots have Brady.

I have found, especially with this Jets team, that NFL spreads mean dick. Case in point:

AFC Divisional championship 1/16/2011 4:30 ET At New England -9 NY Jets UNDERDOG

After our win today and NE's loss today, next week will be a dogfight.

We need to run, run, run (which in return will open any pass we can find), and get the D off the field on 3rd Downs. Recipe to success.

We brought in Bell and Landry for the sole purpose of stopping these tightends. I swear we better not see the Patriots TE having a field day all game. Lets make them run on us. They have a good run game that can hit the edge which worries me a lot because thats where the Jets struggle.

Josh Mcdaniels today kept on calling so many pass plays and I honestly wont mind if they pass more than run, because if they run we will be in for a long day.

Notice anything missing from today's win?

    Play action pass.

With Greene's career game in the rear view mirror, look for Sparano to go to the play action early and often. NE will be pumped to stop Greene....mistake!

Hope Jets win of course, but I don't see it. Sanchez has never been able to exploit ANY secondary no matter how weak and I'll believe we can run the ball again when we do it against a real D or in a bug game like this. Add to that the fact that when Jets go to NE on a bit of optimism they often get pounded.

Having said that, Jets can win with:
    - D line stops run and pressures Brady removing need to blitz a lot.
    - Run game picks up where it left off.
    - Jets win ToP.
    - Jets get TDs on red zone trips.
