This sucks. Hopefully 2013 can be a healthy year and Jeter, Rivera and Pettitte can go out on top. Not saying this series is over, but it likely is.

If the whole damn team wasn't slumping at the same time,i would think we could still win this series.

The Yankees never had the lead so how did they lose it?

me too,but all we really need is some bats to wake up and we can still do this. Jeter is Jeter and not replaceable, but there are plenty of hitters on this team to make up for it.

168 games into the season, the winning run on 2nd with one out and everyone is swinging for the fences. what they have done all year. you can't hit homeruns in the post season like you do off of popcorn rotations of weaker teams.
small ball has not been attempted once. the yanks blowing game 4 against the O's really fucked them. CC could have thrown last night, and Andy today. Not giving up yet, never throw in the towel, but with verlander going in game 3, they have to win today no matter what.

Yanks actually hit verlander fairly well.

I know we can still win, but the Jeter injury is disappointing.

I can't believe how many empty seats there are at Yankee Stadium. It's not just the seats behind the plate. There's empty seats all around the stadium.

definetly agree. Also, leaving bases loaded 3 times and coming up empty all 3 in the ALCS is not excuseable.

Cano getting jobbed by the umps. Runner was clearly out at 2nd and ump misses it.

So the Umps cost us 2 runs this game and 1 run last game. Cano literally tackled enfante or infante or however you spell it before he touched the bag and the ump plain missed it even though his glove was on the runner's chest

It wasn't even close. I understand missing close calls, this one makes no sense.

3 runs seems to be too much for this anemic offense. We know with this Yankees team, if one of Cano, Swisher, Grandy, Tex, Arod can break out of their slump, it gets everyone going, but they have all been useless basically

Cano gets worked by ump on his at bat going down 0-2 instead of 2-0 on two clear balls.

balls and strikes have been all over the place so far this series. it is like watching Livan Hernandez in '97.

all we can hope now is that after all the innings as of late,a day off does something for them. down by 2 heading into detroit is one hell of a steep hill.
