3270 career yards for Tebow. 29 TDs. Your numbers were off. Add them up. It's still a terrible comparison, because you are using 16 games started, yet added up his entire stats for the other 7 games he's played in. It's a stupid comparison, not worthy of being taken seriously. Sanchez threw for more passing yards THIS SEASON, than Tebows PASSING and RUSHING yards for his entire career. No they are not close. 67 career TDs for Sanchez. Don't get it twisted. We know who our QB is. We aren't replacing him with a QB with a worse passer rating, worse completion %, and much less yards per game. We're trying to get better. Tebow will bring that to the wildcat and other packages.
Dirty was adding running yards to Tebow's passing yards, which not only skews the analysis and numbers, it makes for an apples and oranges analysis. Obviously, any designed play where your Qb runs the ball is one that takes away carries from your RB's. Yards gained for the Qb do not make the overall offense more effective if those same yards would have been gained by an RB. To the contrary, over the long haul you are putting too many eggs on one player's basket, and risk injuring your Qb, the guy you need to throw the ball, on running downs. Unless your running Qb is gaining more yards than the Rb's on your team, in which case you probably need to fire your GM for not getting you better RB's, there is no real upside to frequent use of the Qb in running plays. Analysis of Tebow's numbers last year show a decline in ypc as the season went on, most likely because opposing D's became more ready for it. Dirty left all of the foregoing out of his analysis, and it suffers as a result. gee this is a new role for me, defending Sanchez.
Yes he did, but he added wrong. The number I said is the combined rush + pass yards for Tebow's entire career based on ESPN.com. His number had an extra 500 yards and 2 less TDs for some odd reason.
I'm past the denial and grieving part. I've now accepted it and am going to sit back and enjoy the show.. I mean circus.
Thanks for mentioning that. I eyeballed his numbers and thought they were off, too, but I got caught up in something else. Dirty's probably taking some time to regroup, which is a smart move on his part. His analysis had way too many holes in it.
I did. You are wrong, you aren't including two of his starts which were playoff games. Don't be lazy. No I didn't, just like I said, I picked out his 16 starts. If you looked at the game logs rather than being a lazy ass it would have been obvious. Not true, add in the playoff games Tebow started and take only his his starts. Do some math, don't be lazy, and don't call posts stupid because you're lazy.
until they're eliminated from the playoffs. WOW, just WOW. Btw, the steelers are getting in their own way. It has nothing to do with the pats or jets. :steelers:
