Lots of people saying this season is over and we are headed down a dark road. I feel with Keller and Hill coming back, our defense looking much better, and giving Sanchez the opportunity to have more targets, we could make this run for a playoff year. The AFC is very vulnerable right now, especially after that Pittsburgh loss.

I'm posting this to bring in a little motivation for this weekend. Let's get it!

We'll see, but it is a plausible scenario. The AFC is very weak. (I am about to post a thread about the Jets relatively weak schedule going forward.)
The Forty Niner blowout is just a loss, period. Many have over-reacted to it, but I do think some pieces are falling into place.

On the other hand, 3 offensive TD' s in the last 4 games.! It's hard to talk that away. Will Keller's return help this? I think so, but again, we'll see.

So far though, the Jets offense is embarrassingly predictable.

Which could all change in the matter of one game. The point is this: I am not here saying we WILL go to the playoffs and that we ARE a playoff team right now. All I'm saying is that we CAN make that run for the playoffs and if we get our act together, it is VERY likely we will do it.

All it takes is for the offense to click. When the offense clicks, we score more and keep the defense off the field. By doing that, I feel our defense will perform much better, being that they will be much more rested than usual. It will all fall in place, I have the biggest feeling.

I agree with the initial statements here. However, making the playoffs is only one step. Succeeding in the playoffs is a horse of another color. Let me put it to you this way: Our offense will need to be firing on all cylinders in order to have a chance at making a deep run if we do sneak into the playoffs. I'm not saying that our chances stink in the post-season, but if our defense continues to improve and play a more complete game, the offense will (without a doubt), need to step up big time and show us they can handle being in the post season.

I understood you and fully agree. The entire Jets organization should be offense-centric until they get it to "click". That's the key to any success, real or speculative.

Which is true, but the past has revealed a lot about this team when they get in the playoffs.

Almost everyone has written us off as a joke of a franchise and a terrible team. I would absolutely love to make it in the playoffs, even if we do not in fact win it all. I'm not saying I won't be rooting all in to win it all, but just the fact of getting in will be awesome.

Believe me, I'm not writing our guys off because I know that our post season stats are better than our regular season stats. What I'm getting at is that you can't have just your defense showing up for a playoff game and your offense taking the night off (a la 2010 AFCCG vs Pittsburgh) That won't cut it. You have to have both working hard and firing on all cylinders.

Tornado was okay, but by then I lost interest. You might be interested in checking out what the Patriots actual uniform color scheme is in fact these days as well.

I could have said silver, but I chose white as most people think those are the proper colors anyway.
