If you're pinch hitting for your #3 hitter in the 9th... he probably shouldn't be your #3 hitter. Ibanez delivers again, game tying homer.
AMEN Joe needs some balls But, heck, at least it was a lefty/righty match-up as opposed to just pulling A-Rod for ANYONE else
Agreed, but, to be fair, I'd put him above Martin and Chavez, so 7th IMO. But yes, A-Rod shouldn't be batting in the top 6 of the order. His playoff career stats are terrible (as we all know) and he only has one hit this series.
The guy has performed once in his career in the playoffs and it is no coincidence that the Yankees won the WS when he did.
read the last two pages  I'd bat him 6th or 7th, depending on the day (two big factors are the opposing pitcher, and who else is in the lineup).
Come on Bro, you know I'm Yankee hater #1. I juts find it funny that this big weapon the O's thought they had has fucked up twice in this series.
and once again, Ibanez ties it in the 9th and Ibanez wins it in extras I'm just saying that's what most of the recent discussion in this thread has been!
