Top 10?? I would say top 5! You can't name too many guys who are better. That touchdown play was blown coverage.. he looked lost covering a TE.

Our pass defense still seems to be dominant. We get killed with the TEs tho.. we need to put speedy Davis in there.

First of all, people who lay that Daniels TD all on Cro were not paying attention. The TE is normally the responsibility of the LB's and safeties. Both safeties bit on Houston's play action, and CRo's primary responsibility was the left side of the field. He didn't recover, but it was not his man.

But for the most part, Cro is right now the best player on the team. I don't get the hate here for him. I really don't. The Jet D would be on shit street without him.

Like I said in a different thread, I think his game last night is underrated. He wasn't covering the TE. I think he saw what was happening and hustled to the play. He did a great job on AJ and even got the int on a pass intended for him. Factor in the great speed on that pass that he caught oob, and he had a good game.

Late pass by Sanchez killed that. And the fact that Sanchez can't seem to throw a deep ball to the correct spot. That ball should have been thrown farther downfield and not to the sideline.

I'd be interested to see Cro again on the offensive side of the ball. He reminds me of a better Plaxico...lengthy stride and when he gets going, its hard for defenders to keep up. He had a good 3-4 stride lengths on the defender.

Cro had a great game. But I had to laugh at the Jets, we have so few talented players, we were like put Cro on Andre Johnson, put Cro out as a WR, put Cro on special teams to punt return... I'm surprised they didn't put him in as QB. lol

Agreed he had pretty good separation yesterday.

He's not consistently top 5 (too many penalties, not always physical,) but when he's got everything clicking there aren't many corners in the league who are better than him.

I've been saying it since last year -- you can question whether the Jets should be spending so much on two cornerbacks, but Cro's not overpaid. He's elite.

I think he played well at CB, and got pretty good separation at WR, no complaints here

I think he has played great

I was one who thought he was overrated, but he has really stepped up since Revis' injury

Shoutout to Cro for keeping our secondary dangerous. He's a playmaker and I'm all for him getting more time on offense. I even jokingly changed one of my fantasy football team names from Revis Island to Cromartie Island once Revis went down.

He looked great out there. Definitely deserves his accolades for this game. This is his opportunity to show the league that he isn't all talk. So far so good. Let's see how he does against Wayne next week who just had 200 yards receiving.

Cromartie was good, but he did get burned for a TD by the tight end. He pretty much shut down Andre Johnson, though. He almost had a great completion as well. I want to see more Cro on offense.

What's the matter, Barcs? You watch the game by only focusing on ways to come up with excuses for Sanchez?

    Heh.

Daniels was not Cro's responsibility. The safeties both got faked out by Houston's play action. Cro rotated to teh TE but got there too late.

Geez. People should do better than assume whichever db is closest to the guy making the catch is responsible for poor coverage. This is not all that complicated.

Cromartie did play outstanding, but that is what is so frustrating about him. He doesn't BRING that every game. The ability to be the very best Corner in the league has always been there his whole career - the guy has tremendous talent. But why does it take the loss of Revis and a complete doubting of his ability for him to bring it out?
