Well, I have to say that was a far better game than I thought it would be. A couple more bounces...er....tipped passes go our way and we could have been in a position to win that game. At least we didn't shit the bed on MNF!!! On to the Colts! A young team like that can experience a tad of over confidence after beating a team like the Packers so the Jets could be catching them right. This SHOULD be a win. I will say I was more than impressed with our young receivers tonight. On to Indy!
http://forums.theganggreen.com/showpost.php?p=2594060&postcount=60 I called the kickoff return for a TD if it means anything..... Colts: 20 Jets: 24 Very tight game but I really like the Jets chances. I am glad IND got that emotional win for Pagano out of the way......Arians is a lame offensive coordinator dating back as a Steeler. Luck will torch us badly on QB draws and he is very mobile so I doubt we sack him BUT he has thrown some terrible passes that have gone on for INT and while we let Tannehill burn us, I can see a 2 INT day for Luck as he really tries to thread the needle on his passes. Avery and Hilton are his deep threats, Fleener is a promising TE but Dwayne Allen has really stepped his game up and Reggie Wayne is Wayne. I love Cromartie on one of the speedsters but obviously Cro will be on Wayne so it'll be on Berry and Wilson to just watch for the speedsters IND has. Indy's running game can be exploited....MJD had a sick day and while obviously Greene isn't 1/4 of what MJD is as a back, I do think this is a game we can get Tebow moving and Powell can pick up some nice yards. This secondary can be exploited in all honesty..........I can see a 250 yard 2 TD 1 INT day out of Sanchez. Nothing eye popping but he will have a say in the win for us. Add a rushing TD by Tebow set up by a long returned INT by Kyle Wilson and a FG by Folk and that's our 24 points. IND thankfully does not have too much of a running game but its Luck's feet that will scare me. Great mobility, heck of a athlete dating back when he would fool around with soccer in Stanford. Will go as far as predict a rushing Td by Luck.
After facing SF and HOU this team can't wait for this game. Bring it. This is a pissed the fuck off football team. 24-17 NYJ
This is the kind of game Rex and Petine should be able to scheme their way into a win. The Colts O line is banged up, and wasn't good to begin with. Luck is going to be a very good, maybe great NFL QB, but he's still a rookie. They OUGHT to be able to dial up some stuff with looks and pressures to create turnovers. The fact that Indy can't run effectively plays into our weakness against the run. I see the Jets going from 3 man rushes to all hell breaking lose all out blitzes. It should be a win... but...it's hard to count on this team.
Sanchez must play well and win this game!! I think Sanchez will go over 300 yards. Hill and Keller should be back, (fingers crossed). The secondary for the Colts made Blaine Gabbert look like an all pro. I think the run game will be a lot better than the previous 3 weeks because Indy stuggles against the run too. Also last time the Jets hosted the Colts with a rookie Qb, in 1998 we beat them to a drum 44-6. I think the Jets win 31-17.
Colts just won against Green Bay..but Aaron is kinda sucking this year, lol. May be a tougher game than we think. Jets can do it though!
The jets win this game going away. To do that they need to play aggressive and. It play down to the Colts. You have a rookie QB on the road with one weapon on offense. Stop Reggie Wayne....he is going to see 15 targets. If they can't generate preside up from again on D it will hurt them. Luck has to be picking himself up off the turf often. On offense be aggressive....get personnel lined up to go, don't kill flow, and don't out cute yourself on offense. Soprano need to call a clean game.
Cro on Wayne I'm nervous about. Wayne is very shifty and runs very good routes. Jets should be able to draw up stuff Luck has never seen before. I really hope we can get Hill and Keller back in time
This game will be dependent on the availability of Keller and Hill. Right now we have a bunch of bums out there.
Same here -- Johnson runs a post, an out and a cross. He uses side and speed to make plays, but Cromartie can match that and Revis can just blanket. Wayne is a problem. They need to generate pressure on Luck and force him into some mistakes. Best defense - get up early and unleash pressure on Luck. They are 2-2 -- with an easy schedule coming up - s this is a big AFC match up. It's only their second road game, and Chicago beat the up in week 1.
I think the colts will throw all over us and get enough qb pressure/forced turnovers to get up early and stay there. Colts 38 jets 17
i think we put some hard hits on andrew luck that either takes him out of the game or make him skittish. Sanchez reverts to game 1 form and throws for 300+ and 3 touchdowns we win in a rout 31-14
