huh? Did Sanchez get a clean pocket at all tonight? Did the o-line blow the Texans off the LOS for a big run one time? The o-line was certainly a problem. Did the o-olineman blast JJ Watt at all when he got his hands up to tip passes?
Jason Smith getting destroyed on a play that almost cost us a fumble was not pretty damn well. Slauson got burned, Moore got beat like a drum. Our guard had a brutal day. Surprising D'Brick for once had a good game, which has not been the norm for him these days.
Sanchez isn't the only one to blame, but you can't have all pro players at every position. It always falls on the QB because he should have the ability to make other players around him better and he doesn't have the mental or physical tools to get that done.
What does one thing have to do with the other? Yeah, we have plenty of problems. Nobody is absolving anyone else of blame. But all of those problems are exacerbated by the fact that Sanchez is the worst starting QB in the NFL, and QB is the most important position on the field. I didn't hear anyone defending Wayne Hunter. There weren't "sides". He was awful, he needed to be replaced, and eventually -- finally -- he was. And everyone was happy. But for some reason when it's Sanchez, everyone wants to talk about every other problem on the team. Sanchez is horrible, he needs to be replaced. We can fix other problems, too. This is just one, and it's the most glaring.
^ I never said it was a clinic, but they did give the playmakers chances to make plays tonight. The OL, D and Special Teams gave the Jets a chance to win tonight. It was the skill positions (QB/WR/RB) that blew it.
manning and rodgers are struggling and they have better wideouts end of day texans had 100 more rushing yards and schaubbys stats were identical Cumberland ended any chance but sanchez did good considering Kerley, Cumberland and hill are his wide outs and greene cant do shit dont like it, dont read
Sanchez looks scared and excepts losing.... He does not have the best talent around him but.... He forgot how to run a 2 minute drill... He gets happy feet... He stays in the pocket to long... He was really scared of JJ sWatt ... We can go on and on but this guy missed the boat... He does not even care about the team... I would feel great too if i was making millions and going home to milfy eva longoria tonight with out a care in his head... I am not tebow homer. but let him play.He wants to badly.. Pull sanchez...
I've gone to the dark side. After 3+ years of defending Sanchez, I just can't do it anymore. Under 50% passing after five freakin' games. That's unacceptable, regardless of protection issues (which haven't been egregiously bad this season) or lack of playmakers. He stinks, he just can't throw accurately, and it's crazy to think he's gonna turn it around this season. Rex has to consider making a change, either with Tebow (ugh) or McElroy.
The amount of sanchez dick sucking around here is amazing. They even made a little ghetto section of the forum for anyone who dares to make a thread about the backup QB. We all hope Sanchez improves, but the fact is in year 4 he is looking pretty damn bad. Someone else mention pennington and I would trade Sanchez for a young pennington in a second.
In a vacuum, you could point to this game, and to the Jets players and injuries, and say, "every qb has an off day, it's really not all his fault". The fact is, that this was one of Sanchez's better games! The guy is dog shit! Get him out!
Yeah the whole tebow section is gonna get erased when he is the starter... And when sanchez goes to another team.. The sanchez apologists are gonna follow him and blame the team for getting rid of him.. He is a jet so he always will have jet fans.. That's all...
I asked in a different thread but; Can anyone give me one reason as to why Sanchez should still start next week?
There's no Sanchez dick sucking going on around here. The general consensus is that he isn't very good. People act like it's a sin to blame anyone other than him for a loss and that's where the fucking problem is. I'd like for once to come on here after a loss and actually talk football and not have to read all the sob story bullshit and all the hyperbole.
Sanchez hasn't been brilliant, obviously, but look at what he's working with. You can't polish a turd as we say in these parts.
Sanchez's big plays: Predictable and soul-crushing red-zone interception. Taking a sack instead of throwing the ball away;thus getting us out of field goal range. Throwing an interception near the end of the game to seal things up. Going 3 and out, god knows how many time. Tebow's big plays: Fake punt run for positive gain. Throwing a ball right to the numbers of a receiver (that the receiver then dropped) Running for 15 yards in the red-zone. Energizing our offense multiple times. THAT is why Tebow should start. In his limited time on the field; he has had far more positive plays than negative ones.
