Drew Brees made a living making "undertalented" players look good. Lance Moore,Colston, Henderson,Meachum, Graham. ALL of those players were low rated talents that Brees has turned into pro bowlers and quality #2 receivers. So the excuse of not having talent is stupid because it has been done time and time again. You think Wes Welker always been great? No Brady made him. Collie,Garcon and Tammie are products of their QB's.
Haha. You sound much different about QB play when you are defending Sanchez as opposed to bashing #15 in the sub-forum. Anyways, I agree with you that the blame should be shared. Sanchez didn't play greatly, but it wasn't ZOMGBBQPIZZA start Tebow now bad. He played well enough that they were in the game until the end, which is much more than the world thought would happen today. Tebow had a few first downs which helped, but there were times I think it disrupted Sanchez's rhythm. But yeah, while Sanchez isn't all to blame, of the players, he deserves most of it.
Nice stats. Did you watch the game? Did you watch our offensive line get their hands on JJ Watt? Oh wait. They didnt. Did you see Cumberland set the ball in the air for the opposing team? Sanchez did ok. He didnt play like shit, he didnt play well. You just sound ignorant and incompetent naming stats.
Obviously you've never seen Colston play. He may not be fast, but he gets incredible separation out of breaks and has great hands. Brees doesnt make that. He may have given him opportunity, but he is very talented. Jimmy Graham was taken in the 3rd round while being a basketball player. Low rated talent? Are you fucking kidding me? 6'8" 260lbs and runs a 4.5. Yeah okay. Please try again. He is probably the most physically talented TE in the league, maybe aside from Vernon Davis.
Well you guys do all the defending there , I have to do the attacking. Sanchez played bad today, but I'm not going to blame him for all that other stuff just like I'm not going to give him credit when all the other stuff succeeds. Just like I don't blame Tebow for everything that happened at the end his magical stretch just like I won't give him for everything that happened at the beginning. He had 0 things to do with Sanchez pick 6, the Marion Barber fumble, the Dolphins fumble, and Matt Prater being on steroids. Yet you guys think you can slip "intangible" on him and say he made everything better. It doesn't work that way. You win as a team and lose a team. That's the point I try make, but people don't seem to see that. Tebow hasn't single handedly won or lost a game just like Sanchez hasn't It's also why I get annoyed when peopel say Brady, Eli, Big Ben played elite in their first Super Bowls. Or that elite QBs fix everything. Or that Super Bowls are reflective of a QB stat and not a team stat. It's a team game
If Sanchez was an above average QB there would be NO need to sign the media asshat to come in and fuck up what little flow this offense can accomplish. This 2 QB shit hasn't worked and it won't work.
I agree, it wasn't Cumberlands fault the ball was thrown 5 feet over his head and he had to jump as high as he could to try and catch it and it bounced off his hands for a int, thats on Sanchez. His completion percentage is horrible, and he isn't leading us in the right direction his time needs to end in NY, he never looks mad he never looks pumped and ready to go, he always has this fuckin dickhead look on his face
I thought Sanchez played like a douchebag the 3 games prior to this outside of 3 or 4 drives. Today he stepped up and was making high pressure throws to douchebag receivers all night. He didn't play great, but there were bigger problems elsewhere.
Wow , the media ass hat has an NFL record in comeback wins in first 16 starts with 6 and HIGHEST 4th quarter QBR in NFL in 2011 , you think he could have been in on last drive ?
I have had it , Sanchez choked this game it was there for the taking , my true colors is seeing the jets win, I'm done with Sanchez I was wrong and I did support mark until today .
This has nothing to do with Sanchez. Sanchez is below 50% completion with more INTs than TDS. To claim he deserves a starting spot is pure pro-Sanchez bias.
No, there's just a lot of uninformed "Jets fans" (I use that term loosely) who sit and blame the team's problems on ONE player yet absolving all the other players of blame. Mark Sanchez isn't very good but he's not the only problem with our offense and our offense isn't the only problem on this team. There's plenty of blame to go around but you casual rubes who know absolutely nothing about football rather put all the blame on one player and would rather replace him with a player who has accomplished less and is a more limited passer. I like Tebow, but he's not a long term answer either and anyone who watched him play on Denver and thinks that he can be some elite franchise QB needs to get their football license revoked.
Your true colors are wanting Tebow to start. Just admit it instead of pretending you support the Jets and Tebow and oh yea the Cowboys too.
A lot of fans on here are just incapable of evaluating Sanchez objectively. Not sure if they've been biased by bad play for so long that it seems average at this point or if they just refuse to admit they were wrong about Sanchez, but there's no more debate. He is terrible. He's dead last in completion percentage. The only current starter with a worse passer rating is Brandon Weeden. We've scored 3 offensive touchdowns in our last 4 games. Sanchez has turned it over twice in the red zone in those four games. I don't care how bad the supporting cast is. There's nothing Sanchez could possibly be doing worse. Some of you aren't going to jump off the bandwagon unless he turns around and runs the ball into the wrong end zone before flicking off Fireman Ed.
How the hell can you put part ofthe blame on the OL? They played pretty damn well considering who they played. The RB/WR/QB play was below average.
