It seriously boggles my mind how many excuses are made for the guy, week after week, year after year. To say he had a "decent" game tonight is a joke

There aren't excuses made for him, just accurate sharing of blame to other responsible parties. A better QB would not have made the run D play better. A better QB would not have made the WRs catch balls that they should have caught. A better QB would not make Greene run for more than two yards the first three quarters. A better QB would not make Sporano call better plays. A better QB would not have made that onside kick work. Etc.

Most people understand that while Sanchez has been less than decent, so has the offense as a whole. No running game, lots of drops, porous protection. Can't make a good dish without half-decent ingredients.

It was the same way with Pennington too, the way Jet fans viewed him was unreal. We all want our QB to do well but me personally I don't give a rats ass who the QB is. Just win games.

Maybe a lot of people think that the best chance for the Jets to win a shitload of games this year is if Sanchez starts playing well. That's what I think, anyway.

Just bad things happened at bad times. Bad sacks. Bad int's. Bad throws. Really not his fault.

I don't know how anyone watching that could claim Sanchez was the main problem, and I'm someone who doesn't think he's an NFL starter. Any QB will look bad with garbage WRs and terrible coaching.

Honestly, I was a quiet supporter of Sanchez, hoping that he'd really show us that he could play effectively, but after these last 2 games (I know, I feel stupid for ever thinking he could amount to anything) I have to hop off this smoldering pile of ash that used to be a wagon. I am a heartbroken jets fan...

    A decent game is 18-31 210 yards.

Matt Schuab had a decent game.

Sanchez had a below average game, AKA a backup starting for injured QB game,

Matt Schaub had Arian Foster, Andre Johnson, Owen Daniels and Kubiac calling plays. Like I said, all things considered, Sanchez did OK.

He was hardly the biggest concern the Jets had today.

Tebow got on the field and couldn't elevate the run D, either.

How can anyone expect good stats from Sanchez when our offense consists of a #3 wideout, a third string tight end, a running back who averages 2ypc and a bunch of AFL scrubs.

The offensive disaster is more on Tanny tha Sanchez.

BTW, someone tell Keller to stop being such a pussy and get out there!

Schaub threw 50% 209yds, TD and a pick. That's decent yet Sanchez was below average with 45%, 236yds TD and 2INT LOL

he's playing with literally backups in Cumberland, schillens, Kerley, Jason Hill, Clyde Gates, REULAND, cromartie lol. That's who he's throwing to. Again cut it out

Did you watch the game or did you just read the stat line after? Stupid comment.

'Unfortunate' tipped balls. Rather have numbers, but Chez played better than the numbers indicate. ' paraphrasing Rex

Simply untimely..... to have Chez on the field.

It's assigning blame correctly. I'm not going to blame Sanchez for the bad rush defense or the coaches not getting plays in time or the wasted timeouts. I'm not going to blame him for the lack of talent and the piss poor drafting that has occurred.

I don't think one person said he played good or even above average. It's all about not piling on one guy when there are a lot of problems on the team. Most people that are labeled as "sanchez fans" usually say well we also have a whole lot of problems. Then they are yelled saying they are making excuses.

It's not excuses, it's watching the game. JJ Watt tipped the ball on the pick at the end of the first half. kerley was open and it was an on target throw. Watt made a great play, it happens. We see Revis do it all the time and we say how great Revis is, not that the other QB made a terrible throw.

It's all about assigning blame, and it's frustrating that people think switching QBs will imemdiately fix everything. It won't. Switching QBs won't get Holmes or Revis back. It won't imrprove our inconsistent to non existant pass rush. It won't improve our linebakcers speed. It won't improve our inconsistent O line. No one part of the team is playing at an elite level right now. I would argue only the secondary played at an above average level today.

There are more problems than the QB position on this team, so seeing fans that think it's all about the QB and want to blame everything (like celebrating we returned a kickoff for a touchdown) is frustrating to read. Nobody wants to acknowledge that we don't have a good team. It's like everyone is in denial thinking a magical QB switch will fix everything. There have to be other changes around that and a lot people don't seem to grasp that.
