Don't remember that. The defense was okay, but not great. What is your excuse for Tebow in losing to Kansas City 7 to 3? I guess that is probably the defenses fault for not holding the Chiefs to 0. 3 (which came only because of a recovered muffed punt) should have been more than enough...
I'm not a Jets fan. I'm a Jets supporter while Tebow is here. While Tebow is here, GO J E T S. Otherwise, I am a Giants fan. I think your concern for the fan-base is dwarfed by your desire to take shots at Tebow, though. If I'm going to be honest. Why not just be grateful for what he did last year and wish him well wherever he goes. He didn't do anything to you to warrant such hostility. You don't like how he plays? Fine. He's not on your team anymore. Problem solved!
This may be your opinion, but I live in Denver, and this just isn't true. There was a small portion of the fanbase that wanted Tebow to leave after acquiring Peyton. The local polling showed nearly 90% wanted to have Tebow sit behind Peyton, and not be traded. Those are the facts.
Well, you are right... the defense wasn't great. That's the whole point. Tebow lifted up the Broncos from a bad spot. And no, he didn't do it on his own. As far as Kansas City... your argument is flawed. If you are going to give the Broncos defense credit for holding the Chiefs to 7 points, then give the Chiefs defense more credit for holding the Broncos to 3 points. You'd really have to say the Chiefs D played better against the Broncos offense than the Broncos D played against the Chiefs offense if you want to go that route. BTW, a team is allowed to lose a game. There doesn't always have to be an excuse if you lost. I just see it as the Broncos didn't win, and the offense should have been more productive.
Did you just read what you typed? I submit to you Exhibit A on what is wrong with Tebowmania. I see... it wasn't that Tebow played horribly... it was the Chiefs just doing a really good job on Tebow. That's why they were in disarray after firing their coach and had Kyle Orton of all people leading the team. I chalk that one as a case of the defense doing its job, and the offense NOT doing theirs. It might have been Tebow's worst game, and it came at home when the playoffs were still in doubt. But even Tebow admitted he didn't pass the test, why can't you just admit he was horrible in that game? I admitted where he did well. It's okay to criticize him... it really is. Mo, the defense wasn't great, but I tend to give more credit to the squad that kept the Broncos in the game for the first 55 minutes than I do for the guy that finally woke up with 5 min to go when teams saw they had the lead and went into prevent.
I'm in Denver as well. Depends on your source. There was one held by the guys putting billboards up that said Tebow was preferrable to Manning. Most of what I read had the number closer to even. Many people understood why Tebow had to go for different reasons: Some thought he was being disrespected and should go where he was appreciated. Some understood he couldn't run a conventional offense, needed a team more suitable to his style as well as a 100% committment to it (and the broncos were not) and realized we couldn't have two completely different playbooks for the starter and backup. Some thought he'd be okay sitting behind Manning. Some thought Tebowmania would be too big of a headache to deal with. Tebow is one of those guys that if you have him, use him, or send him to a team that will. Wasn't 90%, fans were far more divided on whether he was the future of the team than that. This is why he was so polarizing. People either thought he was very special or he sucked and neither side gave an inch to the other. Hell, the debate still rages on in Denver on whether he is even a QB, let alone a good one.
You are so intent on finding an irrationally defensive position of Tebow from me that you are inventing things I did not say, while ignoring what I said. I said that if you are going to praise the Broncos defense for holding the Chiefs to 7 points, then you must also praise the Chiefs defense for holding the Broncos to 3 points. Neither offense played well in that game. I even said as much in the very post you are criticizing... I don't see what is so unreasonable about what I said.
IIRC it was a 9 news poll(could've been a denverpost poll). It was conducted after we learned Peyton chose the Broncos, before Tebow was traded. I agree with what your saying as far as people debated whether he could be a franchise QB, but that wasn't the question the poll asked. It had to do with if we should keep Tebow and let him learn behind Manning or cut him loose. It absolutely was overwhelmingly in favor of keeping Tebow as the backup to see if he could develop. It was nearly 90%, but if it makes you feel better I think it was 86%.
Where would the fun be in that. Right now his rational posts are somewhere south of both Tim's and Mark's completion record but he has been a gentler and nicer Phaytal since getting pinged by the mods. Perhaps the mods might use their outlook calender to ping him on a periodic basis. There is some hope, he is a part of the Gator Nation. P.S. Hey Remarker ,were you brown shoe in F-4s. From the rocket ranch
I've never served alongside a Marine that didn't enjoy a good fight! But... I'm not going to reward bad behavior. If his posts become serious and not just to provoke a reaction, then I'll respond.
It's been 42 years since I hung up my 782 gear. As the old saying goes "Not as Lean, Not as Mean..." I tend to pick and choose the juicer victims and there is a pelican with a dixie cup that is starting to get annoying.
Are you not intelligent enough to see that it is painfully obvious that you enjoy these negative reactions that you bait from Tebow's fans. Get a clue, you are on a forum labeled Tebowmania and you come here to attack his abilities. Creatures like Phaytal and yourself have a looong ways to go to be worthy of being treated with respect, try to outgrow the masochistic tendencies will be a big first step for you.
If you guys think it is obvious that I like those kinds of responses, then what makes you think I care when you guys drone on about how to be treated with respect? Just sayin'. I did offer rational arguments, and some have offered rational rebuttals. Others decided to attack me personally. Why would I care about respect from those people, or why should I listen to any of them about respect? I get it... there was a law passed in congress last week that said no negativity toward Tebow is allowed...
I agree with you 100% that the forum probably would be pretty boring if it wasn't for the attacks from those like yourself. I am just making it clear to you that we understand exactly what you are, so attack away and have at it, just stop wasting your time crying like a lil bitch when your lil buttsore feelings get hurt.
Nah, I was just looking for a cool pic of a jet and found one showing the sound wave break in atmospheric moisture. I was a grunt.
Excuse for losing ? The broncos were suppose to go undefeated? Funny thing is if the Broncos would have gone undefeated after 1-4 the T-Hater cult would have wanted him out because of his completion percentage being 47% as I was told many times on the Broncos boards that completion percentage is the most important stat in the history of all sports , more important than a Lombardi trophy even!
Is this mullet still trying to save the world or the Jets' fan base as he claims??? My guess is he (Concerned_Citizen) pervs on Tim, particularly after he posted the following:
I don't remember. They dumped me at the end of basic (Sand Hill, July-Aug. E2) with a medical, but I think it was because I spooked 'em. Because of app. test, they were like, take this school-take that school-stay 3 years, and I was like, you've got my ass for 2 years ONLY-school me if you want. A class 3 flight physical for high altitude infrared recon. found something that no other doctors have found since.
