I'm not sure what to think of this, they don't go into detail. Matched against each other they looked good? The 30th ranked run offense against the 31st ranked run defense? What looked good? If we did either, it doesn't prove anything other than those rankings are accurate. http://www.nj.com/jets/index.ssf/2012/10/ryan_said_jets_pride_hurt_but.html
Great, another Ryan Acronym for another useless activity. I really do wonder where he comes up with these things. Was the media invited to view this? I'd like to know how "productive" it actually was.
I'm don't think this should be promising at all. He put the starting offense against the starting defense to run the ball, and results were fantastic. Well, for which side were the results fantastic for? If it was the offense, that shouldn't give us any hope, since the defense's run defense is absolutely atrocious. It wouldn't be surprising that our running game would do good against them. If the defense did great at stopping the run, that doesn't mean shit either. Greene is our starting RB, and he's terrible. So it wouldn't be surprising either if he was able to get stopped even by our shitty run defense. Either way this doesn't mean much... unless there's something I'm missing.
You people need to decide whether you want the Eric Mangini treatment where you know nothing about the team or the RR treatment where everything is revealed. I personally think that's exactly what they should be doing. We need to get better in the trenches.
