NO. what there isn't is a dedicated group of sychophants calling for a poor QB to get a shot.

The chicken came before the egg in this particular instance. The anti-Tebow crowd was in full force well before the Tebow supporters called to give him a shot.

So far, the Tebow supporters have been right, considering his W-L record, Division title, and playoff win.

really? How many starts he get this year? seems like the anti-tebow crowd won in Denver. They have a QB i would kill for, Tebow is gone and benched behind a shitty qb. So far im pretty sure the Broncos are quite happy with their decision.

he's 2 games over .500, won the worst division in the league and got smoked the next week.

You are going off on several tangents.

How many starts Tebow has this year is irrelevant to a discussion of last year.

The anti-Tebow crowd won in Denver because the pro-Tebow crowd won first. The Broncos winning their division, and a playoff game helped lure Peyton Manning to Denver. I'm sure they are very happy with their decision.

You can't fault Tebow for the division he played in. It's not like he took over the Packers, transferred them into the AFC West and went 7-4 last year in the AFC West. He took over the 1-4 Broncos and won the division.

The Broncos did get smoked by the Patriots... true. The same Patriots went on to the Superbowl, favored to win, and almost did. Clearly a much better team. The expectation for the Broncos was that they would be in the Andrew Luck/RGIII sweepstakes. Lo and behold... they won their division and a playoff game.

Not to shabby for a QB that sucks.

I think McElroy is cool and would prefer McElroy over Mark hands down. He (Mac) would not break weak with or without Tim, and would be a better QB in a Tim/QB tandom. Regardless of Mac's weaknesses, Mac is fearless. You don't have success at Bama without being fearless.

You couldn't be more correct. It's like deja vu of last year with Quinn in Denver. To the Tebow haters, any QB is preferable to seeing Tebow be the starter, even if it's a 3rd stringer or someone who looked pretty miserable in their NFL playing time so far. As with so many things for those who hate Tebow, it's not about football, it's about Tebow personally.

Why does it have to be Tebow vs Sanchez? Why not use both at the same time to maximize the skills of both. We need a blocking TE right? Why not slot in Tebow as a TE/FB.And by doing this, it also lets Keller slip in as a WR or receiving TE? That maximizes all three. Sanchez gets better blocking, Tebow does his thing, and Keller might even have time to get open and make a few catches.

Readily transparent, but just for kicks, what years was McElroy a Heisman finalist ? At what point was he considered one of the greatest college football players ever ? Or the greatest college QB ever ?

at what point did college stats mean shit in the NFL. thats his point. exactly what has all that gotten tebow? A big bag of 2nd string qb. thats all.

All he did was show you how f'ing stupid you guys sound when you mention anything to do with Tebow's past. In fact any players past. IT MEANS NOTHING!

Talk about now and only now. what has he done so far this year...thats what matters and so far he has produced nothing. Now before you get all butthurt...its really not his fault.

I agree that the coaches arent using him for what he does best. But I also think we do not have anywhere near the personnel to run what he does best.

Although I think the kid sucks as a qb. I don't think he has had any semblance of a chance this year to try and prove the "doubters" wrong.

The correct answer is Nobody knows regarding Tebow. Until Tebow is named the starting QB and has a chance to play at least a few games as the starter, nobody can answer this question in regards to who gives the Jets a better chance of winning. It's incomplete.

Well, former Broncos HC Josh McDaniels - the man who drafted Tebow in the first place - couldn't ever bring himself to bench Kyle Orton and give Tebow a shot.

Given what a HUGE man-crush McD had on TT (going back to when he was the NE OC and would regularly visit Gainesville with Belichick to consult with Gator HC Urban Meyer), that should tell you something...

Yeah right. Not only that, rookie QBs don't need any prep time for the NFL (cough cough), do ya think?

I've followed SEC football for many years and watched practically every game Tebow, McElroy, and others played. And listened to all the hype.

Without question, the anti-Tebow hype started his senior year. It faded away after he was drafted and didn't play much, but it re-emerged as soon as he hit the field in Denver.
