Surprised Mawae has not gotten any mentions of guys ive seen play a lot of games (ive seen almost all games since 95, before that it was hit or miss.I dont remember anything before 1985) i would rank him highly.
No love for Wayne Hunter? And what of the past greats like Browning Nagle? So much "talent" overlooked.
The best career belongs to Curtis Martin. The best peak is Revis. Klecko is a close second in both categories.
The most important was namath, the one who had the best career on the field was probably Curtis or Joe Klecko. revis was easily on his way to by far the best career in Jets history, let's see if he canr ebound from the injury.
1. Namath 2. Klecko 3. Gastineau 4. Mawae 5. Revis 6. Martin 7. Maynard 8. Walker 9. Mangold 10. Toon
I think Namath for his impact on the franchise, the AFL, and ultimately perceptions about the merger. Even if not the best QB of all time, he has a historical mark of massive significance on the Jets and the NFL as a whole. Beyond Namath, its Curtis Martin hands down. No former player is close to either of these two. Revis is one to watch. Constant contract squabbling could tarnish his rep, but his on field play is something real special.
