Yeah that's it in a nutshell. Maybe I'm being too optimistic about the 7 or 8 wins. I'm still thinking they'll get their feet on the ground on the offensive side and will have to move the old LB's out of the lineup for younger guys in a few games as their inability to do anything effective becomes crystal clear. This is a mess. It's a mess that has been created by using draft picks ineffectively over a number of years. The saving grace is that if the Jets can get to critical mass on the offensive side of the ball they'll be able to win tight games against mediocre teams - and they have a lot of those left on the schedule after Houston leaves town. If they can't get their feet on the ground? Well then it's time to blow it up and start over and recognize that rookies, even high drafted ones, are now the economical way to build an NFL team. You just need to stop evaluating scrubs into high picks the way Terry Bradway does consistently.
what kind of insight was that? That whole vid could've been summed up in a couple sentences & is given by quite a few posters in these same forums. Guess the ESPN marketing tag is why it's good enough to start a thread.
Ha, I love when people post videos and say "My thoughts exactly". No really, please don't elaborate or anything
I've been posting a bit more than I usually do, and you know what really strikes me? That you, and that Jack-aLope above you make up 98 % of the whiners, complainers, cry baby's and critics. If I post what I post, than that's all I have to say about it. I dont have to appease your thirst for negativism, and I certainly can say 98% of the time people like you criticize. I saw the video on ESPN, I agreed with the summation, and wanted to post as an expression of my take on the jets this year. End of story, I don't have to embellish it, and I'm certainly sick of everyone blaming 1 person for the failure of a TEAM, so essentially, if YOU have nothing constructive to add, shut your pie hole and fuck off:up:
Oh my god. Somebody at ESPN has a brain. This should be their next "Breaking News" story that lasts for 4 days.
How am I a whiner / complainer / cry baby? I'm one of the guys that defends the Jets and looks for the positives in most situations. I just prefer actual analysis, rather than posting a video and saying "I agree". That is often what the darksiders do here and it seems lazy that's all. I can't view the video, so it would be nice for those of us at work if peeps could just give a brief summary. It's not really that difficult. I'm not asking for a 5 paragraph essay or anything.
A/ I'm not lazy, people gravitate to different types of info delivery systems B/ I'm the furthest thing from a dark-sider there is...I stick with this team through thick & thin C/ Your statement doesn't match with what you said at first. If you had said something like "Dude I'm at work and cant get the link, what was there insight, I would have been eager, and more than happy to write it out for you, cause that's the kinda guy I am (BTW, I work also, and I just happened to be sick and at home today) If I can't see it at work, I wait till I get home, not offer a smart ass remark D/ I'm really not trying to be difficult, I'm just so sick of trying to offer something and somebody say " that's stupid, or Your a dumb ass, Or you started a lame thread or, well you get the picture. I'm no pussy, just a friendly guy who wants to engage, I certainly have a lot to learn myself, and everyone and everything is so fuckin cynical these days... So, there it is, Peace Bro, I hope I've clarified and given you a glimpse of where I'm coming from...:up:
I completely agree here. I think it is way to premature to bench Sanchez and way to premature for people to be in a panic thinking this season is over. We are 2-2 and 2-0 in the division. A weaker division at that. We are entering the 5th week of the season people. This thing is no where near over. Am I frustrated after this loss, yes. Am I sick of Sanchez being so inconsistent, yes. But do I think we can turn this thing around, absolutely. We need to play great football with what we got and look for other viable options on the market, including bringing back Plax. I think our biggest issue is that we have an owner who only cares about selling tickets. It has trickled down the entire front office into our coaches and players. These players used to play with such passion, now it almost looks like they just don't care. Something needs to light that fire in the locker room this week. Something needs to be done. If it does happen, we have a very good shot at making a run with this thing. Keller is back. Hopefully Hill is back. Kerley looks great. Surround Sanchez with some more weapons. Take a chance on some people. Bring Plax back. Look into Chad Johnson. Nothing can be worse than what just happened last game. Woody needs to eat his ego and do what's best for this team, not himself and his tickets. Give Mark some talent and see what he does.
