Realistically what is "Tin Man" Holmes worth on the market?

Is there any scenario where they can trade him now? Who/what could they expect in return?

Wwell 3 years ago he was worht a 5th round pick. That was a year removed from being the shining star of the super bowl. Now he wouldnt be the shining star in the lingerie league. You do the math

So if that's the case...you can't let that cancer stay. Do you just cut him?

At the moment and for the near future, we need him. He's not going anywhere.

A coughed up football, a "Tone Time" T-Shirt, and a bum ankle. Sounds about right.

He's worth more than the combined value of Josh Baker, Konrad Reuland, Scotty McKnight, Dedrick Epps, Jeff Cumberland, Stephen Hill, Logan Payne, Patrick Turner, Eron Riley, and Clyde Gates, each cloned 10 times, which is what you'll be left with if you unload him (for a 7th rounder).

When you factor in age, contract, attitude and production? Conditional 6th or 7th round pick.

I get amazed when I see these threads..Holmes is going nowhere. If he cut him today we have over 20 million in dead money and it would put us 5 million over the cap limit for this year. If we cut him next year it gives us 11.2 million in dead money in a year where we already start off 20 million over the cap for 36 players.

Embrace him, he is yours for at least two years..haha.

I would think a 20 bag of some O.G. Kush would be the acceptable rate at this point.

Holmes at this point would probably be better off playing for another team. His qb sucks and too many of the team's fans have an irrational hatred for him. Anywhere else would probably be better.

    I'm going with nothing.

As the Jets await word on Santonio Holmes, the feeling in organization is that he will be lost for the season with a foot injury. #nyj

hes not going to be worth much. While i think he can really play when he wants to. he shown he s a cancer and clearly doesn't want to be a jet. he will be released and have a big year somewhere else, then start his bs there

Since he is a locker room cancer, unmotivated, selfish, drops too many balls and likely out for the season, I would say he is worth a 2nd or 3rd round pick. Oh wait I mean a negative 9th round pick.

Just get rid of this bum. He quit on the team last year and now he's done it again with a fictitious foot injury that no doctor seems able to diagnose.

L.T. was right last week when he said Holmes would let the Jets down again. Ship him outta here pronto.

If you trade him, you trade his contract, and the Jets would have to GIVE draft picks to have some team be willing to take that contract off their hands.

Releasing him is the only option. Either that or trying to get some value out of him on the field, but that isn't looking good right now
