Before this season started I told my wife that we were back to the Richie Kotite era: that this team had as little talent as the old Kotite jets and that Ryan was starting to remind me more and more of Richie Kotite. His head coaching career has even followed a similar trajectory. His early years were fairly successful and some people sung his praises but after a few years he was exposed as a complete fraud. The differences I see here are twofold. One, I think Rex is a genuinely good defensive coordinator. Two, Kotite's demise took play across two franchises and Rex is doing it with one. In any event, welcome back Mr. Rex Kotite..... I can't tell you how many times I missed him....I'm a lousy shot!
I read a Foxsports new report thats say at 2-2 The Jets are D-O-N-E. I still cant believe what I saw on Sunday. I knew going in we were in for some tough games but I never would have guessed we would be that inept against quality play.
While I respect you as a poster, your first sentence sets this thread up as epic fail. Unless you took the rich Kotite years off. Or the 8 games after Vinny popped his Achilles. Or Bruce Coslet. It's one frigging game. They are 2-2 with two division wins. Technically in first place. I guess it's a testament to the organization that you are kvetching over style points.... C'mon man... Really? This team is still better, in shambles....than every team in the division not named NE.. Steal one...and be positioned to take the AFCEAST. (check the second half sked) Almost every team (ESP with zebra help) has a shit the bed game BFD.
