Picture plax on one side and hill on the other with kerley in the slot.We would look sort of like tampa with 2 over 6'5 WRs .Say what you want about the guy but he was great in the redzone last season. I think it was the other way around with holmes and plax. Holmes was seeing single coverage like the last game when davis shut him down . Plax might have been the one teams were double covering.
Can you just imagine along about game 9 with the QB with the very slow release of the ball on the same field with the WR who has the very slow release from the line of scrimmage? That might cause a temporal paradox that ended time and saved the Jets from another dismal end of season.
Because he scores TDs and is the only guy out there of owens or ocho.He is 6'5 and can create mismatches. He played ok last year and the guy was out of football for 2 years.Go back to last year and i bet we would have lost a game or two without him. I am a little biased cause i love size and length.
Lucas during the post game show yesterday said that Plaxico had a lot of off the field issues that the Jets hid last year. Lockerroom stuff, I think.
go grab him. Our lock-room is probably a nightmear anyways...I dont care anymore as we will be no better than a 7-9 team this year...I lost all hope after ssing how the Jets struggled against the Dolphins with a rookie QB, and got man-handeled by good teams....MAN_HANDLED by PITT and SF...the Bills, well they are the Bills
I would take T.O. over Plax any day of the week. Plax didn't do shit but catch TDs and right now, we aren't even getting to the red zone.
This team will be no better with Plax. They struggle just to get to the red zone and Plax is useless between the 20's.
In before the gay jokes. Plaxico is slow as all hell. Theres a reason he is unsigned this year. The fact he wasn't brought back dirt cheap should tell you something. He must have been a problem in the locker room or some sort of issue for no team to take a chance on him.
But how can you say plaxico was a locker room problem. And look the other way when it comes to holmes. at least plax didn't get benched for bitching because vonte shut him down. All I remember is i did not see plax complain once last year. And he even said good things about sanchez during training camp.
I'd take him - he can play in the redzone, showed good hands, is a big target, can help develop hill.
Especially important for us, since Sanchez can't hit water if you throw him off a boat. I'd bring Shaq and Mark Eaton out of retirement as well.
You know what concerns me? Tanny does a desperation move to save his career and executes a shit bag trade.
That deep ball he threw yesterday was on the money, the CB made a great play on it. THe odd thing is they never went back to it.
Plax can still help in the red zone. The Jets can't get TO the red zone. Plaxico wouldn't help at all there, and he would take reps from young players. And that's not even getting into whatever locker room issues may exist.
