Junc, I stated a simple fact. Brain Hartline is leading the NFL in receiving yards. That's all. Yup Tannehill makes rookie mistakes but the key is he makes guys around him better. Sanchez doesnt. How hilarious you use Tannehills first game to try and illustrate a point. Tannehill doesn't have weapons, he is developing them.
junc, he is through..the last year of his Jets contract will be the last year he starts for any team in the NFL. Might as well start accepting that now.
awesome, and you are 1-3 while we are 2-2 behind Sanchez's arm. Tannehill also has a RUNNING GAME to take presure off of him. do we forget that? Greene is averaging 2.8 YPC, Bush 5.5. do you think that plays any role?
I consider myself prety pro-Sanchez and feel he takes alot more of the blame than he deserves, but there is no denying that he was horrible yesterday, and in general I feel that he's regressed since '10
OP and other like minded fans, get over it. Mark is his own worst enemy. The proof in the budding taste like shit I know, but 'parts is parts'.
You could in 09 and 10 but not since..even you will admit he has been playing like a scared rabbit since last year..he holds the ball forever, he stares down the one and only receiver he plans to throw to and then he throws incredibly bad passes most of the time when he finally lets it go. There is a reason he has the worst completion percentage in the league and it is not the receivers. They generally catch the ball when he actually throws it to them.
For this season, nothing was/is expected from the Dolphijns. They are in a rebuild mode and from where I am sitting, the future finally looks bright. This season is about Tannehill developing which from week 1, he is doing. On the other hand, you had playoff expectations that I told you were unrealistic and look where you are. You're 2-2 record means nothing. Sanchez has done nothing to indicate he has made progress over 4 SEASONS in fact, he is regressing even from the end of last season. The Jets are playing like crap and there is no reason to think there will be any improvement as the season plays out. EDIT: Just a reminder. In game 5 of 2009, Sanchez broke down and cried after throwing 5 picks against Buffalo.
Marky completed 44% of his passes yesterday and had a passer rating of 39.9 - I am betting he can do better.....
I don't remember him crying but what does that have to do with anything anyway. Then afterwards the Jets went on to make the playoffs? Lots of people have had 5 pick games. I'm sure Tannehill will have a couple disaster games later in the season.
And he hasn't lost to the Buffalo Bills since. Petty people tend to put all the blame on one position, when the talent at WR has gotten worse, the offense as a whole hasn't been healthy. You guys are complaining now, wait until this team gets blown up AGAIN. Then go through a few losing seasons - you guys will be bitching then.
He had an awful game and single handedly lost us a game 3 years ago. You think its a bad thing that he was upset about it. I'll take him tearing up over Alex Smith getting blown out and laughing on the field in the 4th quarter.
