I really hope this selfish prick is out for an extended period of time.

I'd rather have the circus show of Chad Johnson in here.

he gave himself up just like Victor Cruz, actually moreso than Cruz last year but that's a call we don't get and the league darlings always get.

AGAIN, it wouldn't have mattered in the W/L column but it's frustrating how they can look at replay and still get calls wrong. he clearly gave himself up and made no attpempt to advance the ball.

I disagreed with both reviews yesterday -- felt Epps never made a football move and was impacted immediately. Holmes was down, gave himself up, and made no move to advance the ball.

Two bad breaks. Epps was a killer....also Mongold's hold was a momentum killer early.

"Rule 7, Section 2, Article 1 states that the ball is dead and the down ended once a runner declares himself down by falling to the ground, or kneeling, and making no effort to advance

That's the official NFL rule. So like I've been saying the refs blew it. I'm just glad that this didn't happen in a close game.

Your actually way, way, way behind the times since the season was lost this past off season when no RBs were secured, when no OLman were secured, when no fast LBers were secured, when no proven WRs were secured so on & so forth. But hooray we got Tebow as another clown move by the owner

The play really should have been ruled dead since Holmes was injured on the play and that injuries should take precedence before anything(They do this when the helmet goes off).

The Epps one was a pretty shitty call to since he did not show a football move and was blasted right away before he can take a step with full possession of the ball but it didn't matter anyhow in the end.

I bet Jerricho Cotchery would've held onto that pig.

Thought the call was wrong and he should have been ruled down. Either way, it was still a bad move on his part and he has to hold the ball.

But as you said above, it was definitely telling that the niner players were surrounding him as he was getting looked at while there were no Jet players to be found. His act has been tiresome for a while now and I'll lose no sleep if he never plays another down for the Jets again...

Watched the play again this morning and it really was the correct call because the ball was released soon after he hit the ground. If he had fallen and gotten up to keep running but the play blown dead without there being any contact then then people would be screaming about a blown call.

Would be different if he held the ball longer

It's really reaching to say that Holmes declared himself down. He clearly slipped to the ground. In similar situations we've seen players get up and start running again.

No way the refs would interpret a guy slipping down as declaring himself down.

No doubt my man. Cotchery pulls his hammy and makes a diving catch for a first down. Holmes twists his ankle and chucks the ball like a little girl.
