No one said Rex inherited a top 5 D, but the Jets D was 16th in the league and 7th against the run before Rex coming in and obviously on the up. The Jets are now a joke against the run, currently 27th in the NFL.

No. This is what happens on this board when this team loses. Chaos.

This is a team sport. The Jets lost as an entire team today.

    Um.....

"He rode a top 5 D & top 5 running game" sounds like it was there before he got here.

Tanny has done a shit job. Draft and FA have been terrible.

Rex isn't a hc. By his own admission he doesn't even understand or pay attention to the O.

Marky Mark is putrid. The idea that we can win with him is laughable.

    Stop being homers.

Nope, he inherited most of the players, but I never said anything about Rex inheriting a top 5 D at all, it's just not there.

do you really think for 1 second that rex is sitting there talking cap with tanny? the majority of the moves that were made or not made had a direct result on the cap....tanny has handcuffed this team in a plethora of ways.

a bean-counter who is unqualified to be a general manager. got job via peter principle, bradway stunk also. so, they keep bradway as player personel guy?

no wonder there is no depth/talent behind a few starters. front office is biggest joke in the league. even worse than fins. that owner had balls to make chnges, and loria in philly also put reid on notice for his job.

when indy looked for new gm, they got guy from eagles front office. nobody would come looking for tanny or bradway. only one owner in the league is so clueless as to think those two guys actually know what they are doing.

I have stated that I am done with this coaching staff in the game thread, but this is not Ryan's fault. This lands soley on the GM.

WhY? Why? Why? Every week it's something new to bitch about. We did alright on 'O', didin't we? Turnovers screwed us. 'D' held their own. Turnovers killed us. It wasn't even Mark's fault but I'm sure he'll get the blame. I hate this team. They're setting us up for heartbreak in week 4. The devil said we would win it all in 2013. Did he mean the season of or the year begining. This team is pissing me off. Been a fan for 32 years so don't give me no 'troll' shit, just saying. And venting.

So it is your contention that the Head Coach of an NFL football team has nothing to do with the talent on the team and the roster game day? You honestly believe that is all Tanny making these decisions in a bubble? Apparently the Head Coach is not responsible for a team that largely misses tackles, lacks discipline, and doesn't execute either. The HC isn't responsible for coming up with a defensive gameplan or the offense at all, I'm curious what you all think it is Rex does? I suppose if he's not responsible for anything then no he isn't accountable for anything either.
