A lot of amusing things about this sickening game, but that has got to be a first: multiple NFL receivers catching and immediately releasing -- voluntarily -- LIVE BALLS... in order to embrace their injured knees. LOL. And I don't even blame those guys! I've torn my ACL twice, and it demands immediate and complete attention. But for that to happen to one team twice in one game is just silly.
haha i like that wording. To embrace their injured knees LOL I feel like i need to embrace my injured head after watching this game
The Holmes one was really weird. Never seen one quite like that. Normally a guy will simply drop the ball as opposed to actually tossing it aside.
Technically, it was a forward pass and also the WR giving himself up. Somehow this wasn't a WR giving himself up as this was the definition of that rule. Oh well, didn't make a difference in the long run of the game
Yeah, I thought it was funny that 2 of the fumbles were because of injuries. The first one was obviously much more killer than the second. Had he not fumbled I think it might have given a charge to the team.
That Holmes fumble was another example of Holmes being a selfish prima donna. I would rather have a guy like Cotchery who tears his groin and still hustles to make a play.
I know it's crazy, you can't make this stuff up, only the Jets could give up 14 on voluntary fumbles.
Yea I thought that was complete bullshit. According to their interpretation, Holmes would need to have been nailed by a defender in order to be considered down. I think this is blatantly what Goodell does not want to happen by his "cutting down on injuries" agenda. Funny how Perreira said it should have been the receiver giving himself up in addition to an illegal forward pass. Then the cocksucker (I believe Carlos Rogers) mocked Tone's TD celebration as he lays on the ground injured. But I digress just a shitty day.
Well I can understand Holmes was hurt, but did he have to actually hand it off to the 49'ers to run into the end zone? It was the most absurd fumble I've ever seen.
fins just lost via fg in o/t in arizona. it aws a good game to watch, and the fins played well on the road. exactly the opposite of what jet fans had to watch/endure today. this was the same arizona team that beat the pats in foxboro.
