Cowher is the only name that would turn this franchise around. Tough, hard-nosed, no-nonsense. He's everything this team is not.

Coaching is not the problem. Although not being able to tackle is annoying. There simply is not enough talent on the team to be coachable, on offense that is.

    Talent Evaluating
    Ownership/Management
    Talent
    Coaching
    Performance of Talent

in that order is our problem

The coaching isn't the main issue here, Rex has done a good job in his time here in spite of having vastly inferior talent compared to other teams, especially the teams we have gone toe to toe with in the playoffs, I'd say every single team we played in the playoffs during the Rex era had more talent than us and we ended up 4-2 in the post season.

Our problem is our lack of a real #1 RB - Tanny's fault
    Lack of a true #1 receiver - Tanny's fault
Lack of pass rushers - Tanny's fault
Poor QB play - Mark's fault

Rex doesn't get to draft who he wants, this isn't a one man show, he has limits on what he is allowed to do and how much power he has, and Woody grants him very little beyond the coaching.

We need to fire Tanny, hire Bill Polian. Let the remainder of this season determine Sanchez's future, if he floats, keep him, if he sinks, cut him.

Right now, anyone but Sanchez is an upgrade at quarterback. I'd love to see Cowher, though. You'll never see any of his teams quit.

Not only is coaching not the problem here, but Bill Cowher? Really. I guess when you win a superbowl, everyone forgets you took 14 years to do it.

Anyway, someone look at the talent that we dragged out on offense today, then look at the defensive personnel the 49ers had, and then tell me with a straight face that any coach would have gotten results from it.

I'd rather a new GM and QB than a new HC.

Is Paterno available? Even a zombie might be a better choice.

Im not giving up on Rex. He's been successful here in a short amount of time. He has yet to have a team finish under .500. I would give him next year no matter what. We have to find some consistency with a HC. Rex could do no wrong in 2009, and 2010 and now because of an 8-8 season and a 2-2 start all of a sudden Rex needs to go?

You could give Bill Cowher this team and there would not be much of an improvement in my opinion. I understand the Tannenbaum bashing, I think its warranted, but I dont think Rex deserves it.

I am not giving up on Rex, but I know that most new GM's want to hire new coaches. This could be a bad thing for Rex. I'd love to bring in an offensive minded GM to overhaul the offensive staff and offensive talent and let Rex and his defensive staff remain here.

Russ Grimm deserves to be a head coach, at 53 he's got 10-15 years of coaching left

I'd bring him in and maybe Jim Tomsula(D-Line Coach) from San Francisco as our DC and Sean Ryan(QB Coach) from the Giants as our OC

He doesn't have to detail everything to the media.
