carr went to the ravens in 09, so he enver playd with rex. he has a good track record against the elite qbs though, so he is definitely a good pick up. he was injured last year, which is why he was dropped by the ravens. not sure why the vikings cut him, he was probably a bit rusty i guess, or at least i hope. anyway, the guy is a pretty decent tackler and he picked off brady in the playoffs.

If the Jets sign Carr and he works out and does a good job, then we get Revis back next season and we'll have an even better all around CB situation than we had before with Cro, Revis, Carr, Wilson.

Hope things work out and the Jets sign this guy up today or tomorrow.

I'd start Carr over Wilson right now. Wilson has proven absolutely zero to me. Right now, I assume he is racing across busy streets without turning to see if traffic is coming.

Two plays don't make a player. All you have to do is watch the guy consistently to know he is always in a dead panic chasing his cover. It's annoying as hell to watch.

That is sort of a CBs job no? Wilson has been pretty good this year. He's not a star and maybe not living up to be a 1st round draft pick but he's not bad. With a better pass rush he'd do a lot better.

Wilson never turns his head around. He will run over a WR and get called for pass interference every time.

i have zero confidence in wilson's ability to cover on the outside. dude looks lost out there... always a step slow. never turns his head. just generally seems to hope he gets lucky and doesn't get flagged.

cro has been extremely disappointing as well so far this season.

    sign carr.

He plays the man and not the ball when the pass is thrown his way.

When he did it as a rookie it was easy to accept because he was "getting used to the game". Last season, it was because there wasn't a proper training camp. This season I think he's put in enough time for us to think he might never get that problem fixed. Forget Revis, I think it eliminates him from ever reaching Cro level.

Reached the point that whenever I see a Jet defender running through a receiver while facing the wrong way ... there's no need to even confirm the uniform number.

Agree. Wilson is terrible. Will be gone by 2014 if not sooner. Another wasted draft pick... one of many.

Are you aware that it's generally harder to cover in the slot than outside because there is no sideline to help? He does a nice job and is starting to get his head around this year.

Apparently, the Jets think McKnight is better at CB than Carr would be.

I still think they should sign him also. Doesn't hurt to have the depth at corner and let the two battle it out.

I think McKnight shouldn't be transitioned to the other side of the ball until the offseason.

    But hey.

Gee do you think Wilson might improve with additional playing time? I do.

The Dark McNugget has been transitioning to that side of the ball for a season and a half. Desperate times call for desperate measures. Let us not forget that Brandon Moore was a weak link on the offensive line for a while as an ex-d-lineman prior to elevating his game.
