If Hill's hammy is a problem, Kerley will hopefully get the start. Want to see what he can do with more playing time. Shift him inside on 3rd downs, but I want to see more of him on 1st and 2nd down.

San Francisco is vulnerable against trips formations. Hopefully, Hill is healthy and all three can play. But it's getting harder to keep Kerley off the field.

I don't want to banish Hill. Eventually, he'll make those catches, and he needs experience. But we also need wins, and Kerley is a good, young player in his own right. He needs to play.

IMHO, Kerley will always be limited by size and speed; he is both small and slow. He has good hands and some great moves, but he is small and slow. He probably can't beat many CB 1s and 2s at this level. He probably can't suceed outside the slot.

I think with Keller coming back this week hopefully, get Kerley out there more, some more of Powell out of the backfield and I think we might see some production out of the offense.

Looking at who the gets have the rest of the season there are not that many teams that will just be airing it out so I think Wilson back there and trying to generate a little more pass rush the D will be OK.

If Kerley can give us some more of what he did last Sunday and the rest of the team stay relatively healthy I am not as down on the season as many on the board.

He's a slot receiver and should remain in the slot to be most effective. Chaz Schilens will have to be the one to step it up.

Kerley is bigger and faster than Wayne Chrebet.

Not to mention he just isn't slow. He's not a burner by any means but he's got more speed than many receivers. I mean look at his long play on Sunday. He's got good quickness and runs well with the ball. He took it pretty far before someone caught him and its not like he was running a straight line the whole time. Kerley has more than enough speed and he has a great first step and the moves to get open.

I like him as a slot receiver I hope he's on the Jets for a long time. He won't be a deep threat but he should be able to get a lot of catches.

I don't think he's noticeably slow. Not glaringly at least. The biggest thing that holds him back is probably the fact that he utilizes many of the same routes and/or parts of the field as Holmes.

Time to call up Jordan White, and get the kid some playing time. Get him some game experiance so we can count on him next year.

    This.

If we get lucky with a diamond in the rough, I'm hoping its this guy. He's got the physical tools to be Braylon. Lets just hope the mental ability and health hold up.

You sure? Wayne was listed as the same weight but an inch taller. I don't recall Wayne going to the combine so I am not sure what his 40 time was but I think it was comparable.

It's a shame that Sanchez and Keller can never get some consistent chemistry; they need it now more than ever.

Welker and Amendola are small and slow, probably slower than Kerley. No reason why Kerley would need to come out of the slot. That's where he is most comfortable and most effective.

Kerley is a good receiver, we have to target him more.

They lied about Wayne's height and weight the entire time he played for the Jets. Always listed him at 5'10" when he didn't quite reach 5'9".

I tend to agree, Kerley seems well suited for the slot. Chaz is more suited for work along the sidelines. At least with Chaz's size he might get some jump balls or back shoulder throws.

Can't be worse than Hill dropping balls every chance he gets.

Hill needs to spend some more time late night with the ball catching machine. That seemed to help him before game 1. He's got all the signs of a young Braylon, he just needs to cure the dropsies.

Kerley is critical for us in the slot, I agree, but we have to keep the deep threat option in play. Even if we miss, we need to take shots down field. Near the end of the Dolphins game we went for the win on 3 separate plays. It was opposite of Schotty, and definitely not conservative. I liked it. I feel like if Schillens and Sanchez got more practice together they would have nailed the timing on that last one. We saw both Hill and Schillens beat coverage deep. This was a big thing we lacked last season. We'll iron it out. I like Holmes as the go to guy, but Kerley is an important kog in the wheel, critical on 3rd down situations.
