    Revis looks like he could be out for awhile, probably the season. That changes a lot for this team. The team is currently (2-1) with 13 games left. Not easy games either. This team can still make a playoff run though. Re-evaluate the schedule with the Jets playing defense without him:

    San Francisco-W

    vs. Houston-L

    vs. Indianapolis-W

    @New England-L

    vs. Miami-W

    BYE WEEK

    @Seattle-W

    @St. Louis-W

    vs. New England-L

    vs. Arizona-W

    @Jacksonville-W

    @Tennessee-W

    vs. San Diego-L

    @Buffalo-W

    I have the Jets only losing to the Texans, Patriots twice, and Chargers to finish (11-5). It probably will not go that way, but I am just showing that the season is not over without Revis. Plenty of winnable games, especially with how this season has gone so far. Sanchez and the O has to step up though.

    I still think SF is a loss. I had Houston as a win but the fact that Arian Foster is going to go for 150 against us is making me rethink that. I think the Jets are 2-3 at the 5 game mark.

    I don't know how you can toss up W's like that after the way they played these past two weeks. I don't know if we can beat the Colts, Seattle, Arizona, Buffalo the way I see it any of those games are 50/50 unless we start playing drastically better. And the San Fransisco game is a W?? I don't think its impossible the Jets win next week. I have seen teams make drastic turnarounds especially early in the season but I think they will come in here and punch us on the mouth and the jets will back down because they are a soft team.

    10-6 Jets dont play well against teams that are more physical than them (Steelers, Ravens) so next week vs. San Fran doesnt seem to favorable for us.

    Assuming the Cardinals arent a fluke Fitz matched up with Cro isnt too favorable and their D-Line can put some serious pressure on Sanchez.

    Arizona is 3-0 and they've already beat New England and dominated Philadelphia.

    I could see us losing at Seattle, hosting Arizona and losing all of the rest of the division games. I doubt we lose to both the Bills and Phins but it's certainly a plausible likelihood. That's before you think about Houston and SF. Also the Titans looked pretty good at home with Locker having a nice day.

    Ws or Ls, you just can't do it. Who knows what happens to the other teams before we play them? Unless Revis is the last guy in the NFL to get hurt this season. We don't even know yet if he'll be back or when.

    The point of the thread is to say the season is not over without Revis, since many fans are saying the season is over. I was just putting up the schedule, showing that many of the games are toss ups. Like many have pointed out, who knows where teams are when we play them? So to say all hope is lost, is just crazy.

    That Niner game is very winnable. I kept an eye on the Niners yesterday (Jets next opponent and I live in Minnesota) and they were completely manhandled by Minnesota yesterday. A Minnesota team that was very mediocre against the Colts and Jags two of the weaker teams in the league. Yesterday's game was no fluke. They controlled the clock and pounded that vaunted Niner defense. I know we don't have an AP type back but still nontheless the Niners are supposed to be one of the most physical teams in the league and the Vikings beat them at their own game. Alex Smith checked down all game and the Vikes secondary is perhaps the worst part of their team and overthrew some open receivers.

    Patrick Willis won't be playing. This will be the Niners third road game in 4 games flying more than halfway across the country. I know Revis is done but they can beat the Niners if we see better performance than yesterday. It's the NFL. Survive and move on and don't look back.

    i dont think we'd go 11-5 with a healthy revis, let alone without him. going through the schedule my picks dont really change much, other then i think our W's will be closer and losses more lopsided.

    Would it shock anyone if Indy is the only win the rest of the year? Honestly

    Yes. To think we go from 2-1 to 3-13 is retarded.

    11-5 eh. I think too many people are getting slammed for stating the obivous. This is a terrible 2-1 team. You got 11-5 and beating the 49ers after thier let down loss. I got the 49ers annilating the Jets and the rest of the season being a bloodbath. Just the lost the only talent on defense, except Eric Smith of course.

    Yeah it would be shocking unless Mangold, D'Brick or Sanchez goes down.

    The floor for this team is about 4 or 5 wins and that's only with really bad coaching and luck. The Jets are going to beat one of Miami and Buffalo again. Those are two of the few teams the Jets have an actual talent advantage on.

    They're really likely to beat Indy in MetLife. They'll have good shots at Jacksonville and St. Louis.

    The games that are going to cap the season are San Francisco (Jet's O is going to get shut down), Houston (Arian Foster is going to prevent the Jet's D from getting off the field) and the two New England games (just likely to be really ugly this year.)

    The mix after that includes Tennessee (will be hard to beat in their building with neither unit playing really well), Arizona (looks like they have their act together on both sides), San Diego and Seattle (decent rushing attack.)

    So figure the Jets will win at least 2 of the gimmes and 1 of the other games in the mix group. That's 5 wins.

    If they win 4 of the gimmes and 2 of the mix games they're at 8-8.

    I agree -- San Fran will be a very tough game (obviously,) but the Jets definitely have a shot.

    On the other hand, I see no way that we can handle Houston or New England without benefiting from an outrageous amount of luck. The Texans especially will eat us alive on the ground.

    The Jets can beat SF without Revis, because they need to contain Gore and Davis and force Smith to make mistakes and limit their own on offense, especially Sanchez against that terrifying defense.

    They'll probably lose to Houston because THEY might be the best overall team in the NFL. I think the Jets can be able to move the ball but stopping Foster, Schaub, and Johnson is going to be a problem without Revis to neutralize AJ.

    NE has problems especially on defense and the O-line, but they need Revis to stop Welker or Lloyd.

    SF- W
    Houston - L
    Indy - W
    NE - L
    Miami - W
    Seattle - L
    St. Louis - W
    NE - L
    Arizona - W
    Jacksonville - W
    Tennessee - W
    San Diego - W
    Buffalo - W
