Jets probably have to get the nod right now, with two division wins, huge for you guys...

However, the Pats look vulnerable, yet still powerful on offense...and the Bills loss to the Jets was actually good for them. They realized that playing from behind with that beast DLine is dumb. Bills have adopted a run first mentality after that Jets debacle.

Heck after Spiller went down yesterday, Choice ran for 90 on 20 carries. Bills strength is their lines and the Jets made Chan rethinking the entire strategy.

Granted, Chiefs and Browns, big games for all of us this week.

Oh and a question for you guys, I have yet to watch a full 'phins game.

Are they pretty good or was it more a case of the Jets not playing well against them? They put up points in their game last week as well.

The AFC East went 1-15 in the pre-season. The Jets are just lucky that they played two bad teams at the start of the year.

This year's AFC East is last year's AFC West...an 8-8 (or even 7-9) team will be the division winner.

The reason the AFC East went 1-15 in the pre-season is that 3 of the teams have serious questions about talent and were unable to unwind things enough to play well as they were sorting them out.

The 4th team is all about one player who just didn't play that much because who in their right mind would play Tom Brady for a lot of snaps when the games didn't count?

If you think the 1-15 didn't mean anything at all I have a bridge to sell you. The AFC East is one of the least talented divisions in the NFL right now and early on they're playing like it.

    it means absolutely nothing.

NE smoked tennessee who beat detroit yesterday
Buf beat KC who beat NO yesterday
Mia beat oak who beat Pitt yesterday

Looking at preseason records is completely meaningless especially for us when we didn't run our reg O or have a full compliment of players in a single preseasoon game.

NE lost on a missed chip shot FG last week to a 3-0 team and on a FG at the gun on the road against what is considered one of the best teams in the league. 8-8 may get 2nd place, it's not winning the division.

Preseason means nothing. I'm not saying that some of the AFCE teams don't have questions about talent but preseason still means nothing. AFCE is not the least talented division though.

When have we had a full complement of players during the season?

Take the green glasses off. The Jets have a shallow AND untalented roster.

You do realize how silly it is to say "we were injured all pre-season and didn't do well as a result" when we're still injured and not doing well as a result?

We just got lucky and played two other bad teams in our division to start the year.

That other bad team we beat is 2-0 in pretty convincing fashion against other divisions. Miami crushed Oakland who beat Pitt who beat us in convincing fashion.

Its been 3 weeks. Preseason means nothing.

I didn't say we were going to the SB. Our roster has plenty of talent, maybe not as deep as we'd like but to say it is an untalented roster is just you being anti-Jet again.

2-1 isn't doing well? you were expecting an undefeated season?

    It's an untalented roster.

Name the players on the Jets who would start for New England, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Houston, etc. You know the teams who actually have talent on the roster.

Two division wins are huge when you consider how tightly packed the whole NFL is. After two weeks 20 of the 32 teams were 1-1, if that trend holds up tie-breakers are going to come into play at the end, and division wins are the most important ones. Not only are they also conference wins but you break ties from your own division first. Of course two games vs New England will be huge, we need at least one, but if we can take care of the back end of Buffalo and Miami later on we'll be in a lot better shape.

    Mangold
    Brick
    Keller(outside of NE)
    Moore
    Holmes
    Wilkerson
    Pouha
    Harris
    Revis
    Cromartie
    Landry and/or Bell

    That's a pretty good list.

Congrats on the win Jets fans. Hate to lose the way we did, but I know Sanchez is clutch, even if he is flat early in the game. Drives me nuts.

On the division, not surprised to be tied for last ..... but quite surprised to be tied for last with the Patriots. :eek:hmy:

There is no way half of those guys see the field for New England, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Houston, etc.

You're talking Mangold, D'Brick, Revis and Wilkerson and maybe Landry and Cro.

And that's pitiful because there are 22 starters who line up in the NFL every game and only somewhere between 4 and 6 of the Jets current starters would start for the best teams in the AFC.

w/o a doubt, I was being conservative. a guy like Wilson would start on some of those teams(like NE)

Not so sure. Outside of Bell/Landry, I think all those guys could start on the elite teams in the AFC (short of Keller on the Pats). Some pretty good players right there.

If you had a QB from one of those elite AFC teams, you'd be competing for a SB w/ your roster. The league is mostly about the elite, or near-elite QB. Right now, you don't have that, but the rest of the roster isn't all that bad. And this coming from a bitter Phin fan!
