Guys and gals, I understand your enthusiasm, but the reality is both teams have the same record, and that is what matters at this point in the season. Scrappy win for you guys in Miami, and I think we can all have an extra beer for the Pats blowing a 9 point 4th Quarter lead. Sounds weird, but Jets and Bills are battling for the AFCE crown right now. Still a ton of football to go.
So what's your divisional record that's the same? You know the very important record that determines if two teams are tied in the division? To be clear, I highly doubt this hold up past week 10.
Jackson could be back next week and Spiller the following week. And really? Butthurt? It's one game. It was painful to watch, but it was only one game. The rematch should be a doozy. I hope Revis is back in time to play in it.
It's week three. As of now, divisional record, conference record, etc... means zero. Come week 16 and you may be onto something.
Bills and Jets arent battling for crap Bills dont have a chance at making the playoffs, and the Jets chances got shit on when Revis went down. Sure the Jets could still make the playoffs, but if Revis dont come back it wont matter (unless the offense has a miracle) Fact is after today the Pats incredibly easy schedule just became a whole lot easier. They should be huge huge huge favorites to win the division still.
I was totally making my comment as a tongue in cheek remark. NYCBILLSOVERJETS isnt very smart and he did not understand this. Although I think we knew that already since he is a Bills fan. But anyways he was then arguing that the Bills are tied for first which they are not since the Jets hold the tiebreaker.
Hopefully the running game can improve once Powell starts to get more playing time. And I hope Sanchez and receivers can build some more chemistry and the defense mainly the young guys can get a chance to show what they can do. These early season wins adds up.
But in all seriousness. I think the defense needs Coples and D-Davis to step in and take a bigger role on the defense, and Kyle Wilson needs to actually learn to play the ball and the receiver at the same time. As for the offense, Powell looks good. Greene looks like doodoo butter. Holmes played well today, and I think Mark misses Keller. Well hopefully Stephen Hill can learn to catch because I think that the offense can definitely improve.
Oh cmon you dont really think that the Bills or Revisless Jets have a shot at the division do you ? I mean if Brady got hurt, sure then we could have that discussion. The Jets offense is horrific, and our best defensive player gone. The Bills got SLAUGHTERED by the Jets, and got wins vs the horrific browns/chiefs. Neither of these teams are divisional contenders now. Wildcard sure, why not.
I'm not the guy you think I am. BillsOverJets is an entirely different poster. You don't have to be so defensive. There are educated fans in every fanbase.
Pats are 1-2. I dont expect them to win 12 of their next 13. That said the Pats are probably still good for 11 wins, including 5-1 over division rivals (thus owning all divisional tie breakers)
He doesn't understand that if the Jets picked him apart, God only knows what will happen when the Patriots play them. And I am so sorry, but it is all the same thing. If you think the Bills or Jets really have a chance I question that heavily.
You're saying "these games don't matter" I'm saying these games that you're saying don't matter, actually matters I know for a fact that losing early games can bite you in the ass later in the season.
The Bills got slaughtered in one game. That, in no way, shape or form, ends their season. They were down to Tarshard Choice as their RB today, and still won by 10 in Cleveland. I try and take it one week at a time, and this week, the Bills host New England. They most definitely can win this one.
I didn't mean to allude the games "don't matter" but rather, at this point, your destiny is still in your hands. If the Bills and Jets go toe-to-toe leading up to week 17, it'll be week 17's result, not week 1's result that determines the teams fates.
