I started a similar thread and it was closed. Apparently if you close threads about him, he won't be a bust. Watch Chandler Jones and Melvin Ingram...they play with intensity. Coples is a POS bust just like Vernon Gholston.

The coaching staff completely baffles me.
The guy wasnt even on the field at the end when we're trying to rush the passer.
Exactly what was the reason we drafted him again??????????????

no your thread was closed cause you lack cognitive reasoning abilities

coples hasnt been playing anywhere near as much as the other two guys, and when coples is out there, he is getting good push off the line and getting some pressures. by mid season hell probably be playing full time, if not a hell of a lot more, and we will understand why we drafted him in the first.

They also get a lot more playing time than Coples.

Exactly - he's a lazy bastard that doesn't practice hard. But that was the rap on him in college - he should have never been drafted.

Are you in practice with the team? I'd like to know how you know exactly what transpires in Jets practices... oh yeah you don't.

Barry, read the papers. They made Coples practice with his game uniform on a few times during the week to drive home the point that he needs to practice like it's game day.

  15. Jets coaching staff appears to be being hard on him to send him a message. When he's in he's getting off alot of blocks.Yes he's a step slow still..but he needs to be in more cause he creates plays.

Give coples a break. He is a rookie with vets in front of him that rex trusts. The only thing that gets me is that we cut marcus dixon and he played a lot more snaps then QC.And tannehill plays like he has a leash around his neck.Short passes no time to sack him.A couple of times he throw out the pocket and had max coverage on the play with only 3 rushers.Hard to get sacks when that plays out.Same with ellis.Pooie and devito get to start over him while ellis is better then both.It is rex ryans security blanket conservative approach.

The Jet's knew what they were getting with Coples, it was no secret he was lazy. Every scout in the NFL was aware Coples doesn't play with effort. Top 5 physical talent that fell to #16....there's a reason.

Rex wanted Coples, and Tanny allowed the pick.

It's still early, let's see if he wakes up, I hope so, but don't count on it.

Love the over reaction of Jets fans calling him a bust 3 games into his rookie season.

    LOL.

I'm an impatient person but you guys are just redic.

Whoah dude what the fuck is with all the hate?

I dont think they're giving him enough snaps.

I saw him in like three plays today. One of them was that sideline catch Devon Bess made after he broke Lankaters ankles. But watch that play again Coples was all over Tannehill, and that was the really the only play we had any pressure at all.

Of all the bums on this roster the last person I'd bitch about is Q. IMO he and Wilkerson are the only two up front players worth hanging onto.

A better question would be why isn't he getting the majority of snaps.
