they switched a lot of games to 4 p.m. if i recall right the last few years...and the bubble is only for thunderstorms
It's rainy down here right now so no need to worry about the heat. Unless the sun comes out tomorrow, then it will feel like a heated swamp.
so is this the new "receivers too tall" like excuse others are coming up with as to why the JETS might lose? This has been brought up 2 times I have seen so far. The JETS will be ok. They are not a team stationed in Alaska.
But you never bothered to ask how the weather is in Florida at the moment! Its raining and 75 degrees. not very hot nor was it veryt humid today. They expect it not to be very hot and humid tomorrow. Ever live in NYC in July or Aug? Its worse there then here! We have an ocean breeze here and up there no breeze and radiant heat from the sidewalks. IMO its worse up there then here. here the heat lasts longers but its not quite as bad as the Florida haters make it out to be and we do not need licenses for our mosquitos!
serious question...why do you bother rooting for this team? i'm really curious. 1) it's not summer it's almost October 2) The Jets trained in the heat all of training camp 3) You're woe is us negative shtick is beyond old 4) Since we aren't winning the SB ever again and you think it will be too hot out to win, why don't you not watch the game?
It's been raining here in S Fla quite a bit, including most of the day today. That means it will DEFINITELY be VERY HUMID tomorrow. That makes a huge difference. 85 degrees and dry is much different from 85 and soup (that's what I call the very humid weather here, esp after rain). Also, the sun is very strong.
If you want to look solely at wins and losses, Rex is 2-4 against the Dolphins. Also, 2 games were at night and at least 2 were 4 o'clock starts. You're a lot smarter then just looking at wins and losses to realize that a 1 o'clock game in Miami in September doesnt effect teams that come in there.
Normally this is where I'd start making fun of him, but after I found out he was 72 years old, I'm gonna lay off. Championjets has seen some shit in his life, suddenly I don't blame him for being so gloom and doom all the time.
I saw the weather report for today hi 80s & humid per TWC & trust me I know all about SE FLA weather in Sept
Cmon now it is all of 2 days after summer ended. Again instead of berating me for posting my views why not tale on Revis is my Daddy for insulting me. I think at least a 1 week banning is in order for the crime
Rex's record against the Dolphins has nothing to do with whether the weather in Miami in September is a benefit to the Fins. Of course the heat effects people but there's no evidence that the Dolphins benefit from that over the last 5 years. If anything it looks like they are effected more negatively by it than there opponents. 1-7 says a enough, no need to out think the room here.
I apologize, Champ. The heat may very well effect the team, but the way I see it, is the Jets practice in a hot enough climate during TC to make the adjustment. I'm not saying it's South Florida, but nevertheless. We should be ok.
You're still sticking with this, despite evidence to the contrary? Let me break it down for you From the 2001 season through the 2011, the last 11 seasons, the fins home record is (did not include this year since they have only played one home game) Sept. .450 win percentage Sept. & Oct. .378 win percentage Nov. thru Jan. .608 win percentage The difference in monthly average temperature between Sept. and Oct. is 2.5 degrees, it isn't until Nov. that you see a significant drop off in temps., just over 5 degrees, so going with the Sept. and Oct. record would be more indicative of whether or not the weather plays a factor. Looking at the fins home win percentage over Sept. & Oct. compared to the rest of the season it is obvious that the fins do not gain an advantage due to the weather. Even just looking at Sept. they gain no advantage. And when you claim that the fins gain an advantage how can you not look at wins and losses which would be the ultimate indicator of an advantage.
