Is it a stretch to call next Sunday at Miami a must win?

San Francisco is light years ahead of the Jets and the only reason the Jets beat Houston in 2010 was because of their piss poor defense, which was ranked DEAD LAST. Guess what? They now have a defense. San Francisco and Houston are the two best teams in the league. If we come away with a win against either after this MUST WIN of a game against Miami, we should be doing back-flips because that's the upper echelon of the NFL.

It's a must win in a sense that it's a divisional game, but it wont' break the season (yet). Although I'd assume confidence would be pretty low with a loss to a rookie QB.

If you honestly don't think the Jets can compete with the 49rs or Texans at home then why do you consider any game a "must win"? Must win for what? So they have a shot at getting into the playoffs to face a bunch of teams you think they have no shot at beating?

There's no such thing as a must win in week 3 of the NFL. The arguments I've read trying to justify that it's a "must win" are weak.

It's an important game because it's the NFL and you only play 16 regular season games so they're all important. It's more important because it's a divisional opponent. Is the Jets season over if they don't beat the Dolphins in week 3? Not at all.

I think it's a must win. If we can't beat the DOLPHINS in their current state, it doesn't speak well for this years prospects (except for a higher draft pick).
