He hasn't done that this year, and we've kicked a couple field goals.

Reggie Bush is scary. His speed is terrifying and his ability to bounce runs to the outside

    1) Miami has the second best running game in the NFL. Second only to the Bills, who ran for 200 of those yards vs the Jets in Week 1. This is bad news for the Jets. If Reggie Bush has a good game, Dolphins win.

    2) Miami has the fourth best rushing defense in the NFL. The Jets are 18th in Offensive Rushing in the NFL.

and both Tannehill and Sanchez have very similar numbers after 2 games, so the QB position is a wash.

To be fair, half this board still butchers his last name. Among other things.

I don't care if Sparano is fist pumping field goals if we end up winning the game.

Over the last 12 seasons the fins record at home over the first 2 months of the season is worse than the rest of the season. It seems the fins have more of a problem with the heat than the other teams.
Every year this same, untrue, statement comes out.

You do realize that one of the fins two games was against Oakland, right?

They beat Oakland, we beat Buffalo. Both have a lot to prove. Neither has beaten a good team yet. A win Sunday helps us in the standings, but it proves nothing. After Sunday we have the two best teams in football coming to town. Should be an interesting measuring stick.

I could see the Jets dropping this one in Miami and all week we'll think the sky is falling and then they'll go and beat San Fran next week. That would be classic Jets football.

In all seriousness though, Rex needs to exorcise his Miami demons because all those losses he has against shit Dolfag teams in his short tenure pisses me off!

so what, everyone had McFadden as a must start in fantasy that week...also you do realize that the first game was against arian foster who was held to 3.0 per rush and houston as a team to 2.6...miami's rushing d is for real leading the league with a 2.2 average and the jets rushing D so far has a questionmark on them...sunday will reveal a lot....

You realize Foster was questionable leading into that game and they were obviously taking it easy on him. No sense in re-injuring him and losing him for the season when they were winning by so much. Plus: HE HAD TWO TDS IN THAT GAME!! If you consider that holding him back then, by all means, hold Greene back to 3YPC and 2TDs, I'm happy with that.

The bold part is the only thing you said that has any relevance two games into the season. It will reveal a lot and while I'm not one of those people who think it's an automatic win I am more than confident that we'll be walking away with a W. I wonder what you and the other Phins fans will have to say then...if you show up at all.

    1) You underrate our NT Sione Pouha who did not play vs BUF. He makes a world's difference in the middle when it comes to stopping the run. Bush would be foolish to run in between him.

    2) I agree that we will need to beat you threw the air. However, Sanchez has far more experience than Tannehill so I'd definitely take Sanchez in this matchup over Tannehill sorry.

Yea and the Dolphins are also one of the worst passing teams in the NFL with a rookie QB vs. the Jets defense. The Jets had to respect the Bills passing game, especially when they were up 467-7.

The Jets don't need to respect the Fins passing game and will focus on stopping Bush.

If you honestly think Tannehill vs. Sanchez is a wash then it's obvious we don't need to listen to anything else you have to say.

Sure he has. It's just the TV cutaway to the sideline's now, is on Rex... not Tony. :)

My favorite is the one with the three half-skip/half-bounding warm-up jumps in a single direction along the sidelines... prior to ripping the atmosphere with a double pump of the fist to heights (due to the stature of the man) roughly equivalent to the punter's shoulder pad level. <-- As if he were Bill Murray's Kingpin character "Ernie McCracken"... and now by god.. Big Tone is ABOVE THE LAW. LOL

Those are usually reserved for the field goal culmination of a 18 play 8 minute drive which stalled at the 3 yard line and that (to borrow words from our new OC) resembled "giving birth"... while the team is still down two touchdowns in the 4th quarter.

Sorry to have so much fun with it... as I actually like Sparano. He's a good guy. :)

He has really good vision, change of direction, and speed... and if the O-line can spring him to the second level - he certainly presents problems.

But the Jets don't live and practice in the 50 to 70 degree northern California climate... aren't flying 5 hours cross country to play 3 times zones earlier... don't wear black jersey's in the heat... and should be able to handle any Dolphins receiver in one on one coverage - freeing up their run support oriented safety's to go head hunting.

That said... it's Dolphins-Jets. Having witnessed most (if not quite all) of the games in this rivalry... nothing will surprise me.

The last few years? Few usually meaning about 3? fins are 1-6 at home in Sept. & Oct. 2010, 2011 and this year.
One win at home in Sept. & Oct. since 2010, with that lone win over a terrible Oakland team.
No matter how you present it the S Fla heat does not give the fins an advantage as the previous poster I was replying to stated.

Can't believe the lack of respect the Jets are getting here. I know the game is in Miami and that Reggie Bush is off to a great start, but this game is a total mismatch. The Jets will cause plenty of fits for Tannehill and company.

    Jets win by double digits.

I said it earlier in this thread and I'll say it again. Reggie Bush is a completely different runner. He's finally living up to his potential and is going to be a big time challenge for us.

People don't like to be filled with facts.

It's okay, Murrell. I'm with you. This game will be close.

I'd like to see Tebow used at FB and getting some carries.
