I remember pre-ordering the 4S and received it via UPS on launch day, later in the day (around 5PM), but I got it that day.
Yeah same here. I had an iPod touch so I just go an iPhone since all my apps/music/video etc just transferred over. Seamless and made my life easy.
Are there actually any new features to the iphone 5 other than having a bigger screen, longer battery, and faster chip?
A lot of is internal as you listed. There is nothing shocking or gimmicky with this one. Everything is better/faster/quicker but there is no one selling point for it except it's better. Oh and the 4G/LTE. I'm interested to see how this one sells. A lot of "analysts" are calling this the downfall of the iPhone.
Really? All I've seen is praise and hype. By the sounds of things, the pre-order records of prior iPhones have been shattered. What selling point COULD they have included but didn't? Do you Joe Consumer really gives a damn about near-field communication? It's tech limited by retailer infrastructure anyway. The wallet app should be just as if not more effective. The screen is bigger, the camera is better (panorama mode and improvements in low light, the latter is a big one if it's actually significantly better), the processor is double speed, it's thin without having the hilariously poor battery power of the droid razr, and it's LTE on the 3 largest networks. It's claiming to be a true no-compromise device. What droid phone can make that claim? I've owned an android powered HTC Aria, as well as a Motorola Xyboard, which was at the time the most elite droid tablet. I ebayed the latter when the iPad 3 came out and couldn't be happier with my decision. The ONLY regret is the VLC player app. Anyone know an iPad equivalent that can play my PC media while I'm on the couch? And don't say Apple Remote.
I got the white 32g, it's coming sometime next week. IOS 6 comes out to day for any 3G, 4 or 4S users. Same OS as the 5. Anyone catch the trailer for EA Real Racing 3? looks insane.
Have you tried Puffin web browser for Iphone ans Ipad? it's by far the best I have ever used. It plays full flash everytime with no problems. The only Droid phone I like is the Galaxy 3. The phone is bad ass.
http://www.cnet.com/iphone-5/ Here's an intensive review from CNet. The LTE speed results have me extremely excited (never had LTE). Does northern NJ get LTE or do you have to be in NYC?
Anyone download iOS 6 for older devices? It quickened my iPhone4 or maybe it's just me being optimistic. Passbook seems confusing though. You have to DL additional apps to use it. App Store is different too.
LTE is fully unleashed in NJ for Verizon. AT&T just has it in the city, maybe you can catch some if you're close, I'm not sure. My iPad 3 is Verizon LTE and is blazing fast. My iPhone 4 is AT&T (work pays for it).
Yeah I have a 4G LTE Galaxy Nexus and I have 4G everywhere in NJ. It's about as fast as my optimum online connection, probably faster.
I have a iPhone4 and just downloaded the new iOS6. It definitely does seem to have improved the overall speed of my phone, but, while not a big deal, I'm not too thrilled about some of the aesthetic changes.
I actually get LTE in my house. via ATT I did a speed test with my WiFi v. LTE WiFi - Down 16.70 up 1.93 LTE - Down 34.32 up 11.89 all i have to say is holler
