I'm a relatively new football fan/Jets fan. Sometimes the snark or jokes can go over my head. Like today's Rich Cimini tweet:

"Sanchez (lower back stiffness) looks fine ... as long as he doesn't see black and gold."

He said it was a joke. Some fans took offense. And I didn't get it at all. Can someone explain the reference to black and gold.
