Yesterday right before the 2 minute warning, the Rams had a 3rd and 9. Bradford's first read and pass went to a player on a 4 yard out. That sound familiar+

Schotty seems to love those former Jets. I wonder how Hunter's panning out for them? Did Gholston get any sacks? Did Mulligan commit a bunch of false starts? Pretty sure I saw that Ganaway is over there now as well. Schotty is the Jets trash collector. I have made my peace with Schotty, however, I can no longer bash him because I think him taking Hunter made up for the nonsense he tried with our offense. It's his own special way of saying "sorry!"

how do you know what his 1st read was?

Really? it was the O getting lit up for 30 pts in the '09 title game? after being given an 11 pt lead no less. It was the O being run all over in Pitt and failing to keep Pitt from getting 2 1st downs to end the game?

Does that mean that is the design of the play? we have no idea what his reads were on that play and if that ball is delivered on time and accurately it does give his receiver a chance to get yards after the catch.

I see 3 routes short of the first down marker. Not sure if the routes were fully developed, but the first break on 3 of them were 2-3 yards out.

Not to mention that the coverage looks pretty tight there.

jesus i dont think any of the receivers in the field of view of that gif were running near the down marker

and holy shit this is hilarious, junc still defending schotty. if against the steelers we maybe tried something instead of LT up the gut 3 times for no gain on like the 1we might have been in the superbowl. defense could have made another stop and gave them another chance, but at that point, what more can you ask of them after pitching a second half shut out? it doesnt really make a bit of difference now, game is in the record books, and we are 2 seasons removed.

i just find it hilarious that you are still defending this loser, i mean, its not even like there are different things going wrong on the rams. i mean hunter is starting now too even haha, its just the jets of last year down in st.louis. except bradford has an elite running back behind him

If you want to get a 1st down you pass the ball to the sticks or beyond. I could never figure out why the Jets had so many plays in which multiple receivers were short of the 1st down marker.

It's like a no-brainer: pass the ball for the 1st down, don't expect your player to pull it down and be able to make 5 yards after the catch. Especially if he's got buddies all around him with their coverage hanging out at the same depth.

Schotty makes every QB into a meat-grinder eventually. Then the quality of the meat goes down and the offense starts to taste like dry hamburger.

That gif of the Rams routes is so typical of Schotty. Why did the ball have to go out so fast? They needed 9 freaking yards. No one stretched the field at all. They all got compressed into a box. We saw this hundreds of times..so sickening, and yet, so joyful that he doesnt work for us anymore.

Anyone that defends this idiocy needs a lobotomy.

And it was only a 4 man rush.

3 step drop. 4 men (if you include Jackson) all running 1-4 yard routes. Classic Schotty.

**Edit. 1 receiver did run a pattern past the sticks (at the very bottom of the screen). In Schotty's design, this player was probably just a clear-out for the underneath receiver.

I kept an eye on some of this game when the Rams had the ball since the gal picked Detroit in the suicide pool. I just had to watch, shake my head and laugh at what I saw. If there is any team I would love to shut out this year it would Schotty and his pathetic excuse for offensive play calling and game planning. HE STILL SPLITS OUT A FULLBACK WIDE AND THEN BRINGS HIM BACK INTO THE BACKFIELD!!

I guess with the Jets shitting the bed this week and the Rams playing well, there was no need to bring this thread up.

Why? The Jets scored a TD in the first quarter of their first two games. The offense is not the only thing to blame for the steelers game.

The Rams definitely seems like the Jets of the past couple years. Start out slow and then come back and win at the last second.

My point was that after one week everybody was already singing the praises of sparano. Rams offense looked better and Bradford had a 300 yard game.

I'm not a schotty supporter. So I don't want to come off as one.

you are correct and if we have a good game on O and SL struggles this week this will be bumped and 2011 will be all the OCs fault again.

2011 also had Wayne Hunter, lack of talented skill players, changing Sanchez's chemistry, no identity.

It was time for Schotty/Jets to part ways. They had him for 6 years and they needed to know if they could sink or swim with Sanchez. They gave Schotty 3 QBs and Kellen Clemens if you want to say he had a real shot at starting. The offense remained average throughout and there were doubts about Sanchez's skill level. It was either get another QB for Schotty or get a new OC for Sanchez. I think the Jets took the smarter option of getting a new OC.

Actually, we got a new OC and QB. The FO always takes it's sweet time pulling off the bandaid. Heck Schotty had to quit because we wouldn't fire him.

Hunter and all those issues were his fault? I have no problem w/ Tony, maybe it was time to move on but it's asinine to blame the OC for last year.
