Well, it's kind of obvious that the Patriots are on the way out. I mean, they just lost a game.

    /sarcasm

When are people going to realize that #1 Jets Fan is nothing but a fictional character?

Yeah the division is taken by the Patriots. Unless Bernard Pollard goes on a rampage this Sunday, the Patriots are the class of the AFC East. The only surprising thing is that they lost to a not so good opponent at home. When they usually lose its a divisional game which is understandable or to a top tier team.

And this FALSE notion will continue all the way up until 4:25pm October 21 because entering the Jets-New England game, we'll likely be 3-3 and New England will likely be 3-3 or 4-2. Then however they will kick our ass like usual and we'll be either 1.5 or 2.5 games behind them, when you factor in the tiebreaker, and New England's schedule after Week 6, minus us on Thanksgiving and SF down the line, is full of cupcakes and roses when you look at their personel against those they face..

They'll be 11-5. We'll be 9-7. They'll probably sweep us. It's the way it is until proven otherwise. A Divisional Rd win two years ago doesn't change things until it's changed in the Regular Season.

We split 2/3 last seasons with them, 3/4 if you wanna include Favre vs Cassel.

Divisonal games are tossups that slightly lean towards the Pats. Even last year it was a one possession game before the Pats ran the ball down our throats

Tom Brady went down a few years ago and the Pats still finished 11-5. The Jets could only dream of 11 -5. Pats overcome. Now they will have a them against the world motto. I hope like crazy that they have slipped but I don't expect it.

I cant remember the last time a pats team underachieved. I cant remember the last time the pats paid huge dollars to guys who didnt produce either.

I fkn hate the pats but they have a way better organization and they wont collapse.

The curse of Bernard Pollard might go back to Brady again this year. Gronk, Brady and Welker were all victims. It has to be some relevant offensive player! :breakdance:

lol, last year the pats lost to the bills, they went to 5-3
we played them with a 5-3 record and we were all pumped about "this being the year we would win the afc east"

We finished 8-8, they went to the superbowl

The Pats are in a more vulnerable place right now than expected but I still think we have a long way to go (and the Pats have to suffer some serious stumbles) before we can seriously consider the division title ours. It is possible that we could take it if the week 1 Jets come out to play, not the week 2 Jets, for the remainder of the season. I'm convinced the Jets could perform solidly this season but not yet convinced they will. Even still, I think it requires some opportune Pats losses and at least splitting them this season to come out on top.

I don't think the Patriots are a 14 win team this year but 12 wins is good enough to take the division for sure. I think they can go 12-4. SF and Ravens are tough games. Divisonal games can always be dangerous. Even 11-5 could win the division. I think the Jets are 9 or 10 win team.

completely different Pats team. That was the year after they went 16-0. Their D was still nasty Seymour and Bruschi still there. Randy Moss and Welker playing at a high level. Brady goes down this year they are not an 11 win team.

That pretty much sums up everything you have to say. Short of a season ending injury to Brady or something I can't see any possible scenario where we finish ahead of the Pats this year. I obviously hope we do but I know, deep down, that it is not going to happen. I won't say it will never happen but as long as Brady and BB are running the show I don't see it happening.

The Jets "CAN" win the Afc east, I totally believe this is true. They "CAN" be the best team in the NFL. The only concern is "WILL" they?

C'mon, its the Pats division until Brady either retires or find himself unable to stay healthy. It's just the reality of the situation right now.

It's nice and all to dream as we're all 1-1 right now, but reality is reality. There's only one elite QB (right now) in this division, and that's really all that matters.

Ransom note is on the way. Apparently, they are demanding naked photos of Kate Upton, a year's supply of baby oil, and a lock of Tebow's hair.
