The defense has earned no right to miss tackles. What are you talking about? Yeah he's part of the problem but he rarely has been THE problem in any game like so many fans make him out to be. He also hasn't carried the team in the playoffs, but he hasn't done nothing and go 4/10 and win a playoff game. Multiple names it seems at times. Exactly. He isn't elite. He's going to make dumb mistakes. He hasn't made mistakes since the flip. He is just missing throws now.
Our RB's are not very good. Our WR's are not very good. Stafford has Megatron. Schaub has Arian Foster and Andre Johnson. Matt Ryan has Julio Jones, Roddy White, Turner. Tony Romo has Miles Austin, Dez Bryant, and DeMarco Murray. Alex Smith has a WR corp, Vernon Davis, and Gore. Tom Brady has Aaron Hernandez, Rob Gronkowski, Wes Welker, and Brandon Lloyd. Vick has LeSean McCoy, DeSean Jackson, etc. Freeman has Vincent Jackson. Flacco has Ray Rice. Gabbert has MJD. Kolb/Skelton has Larry Fitzgerald. Bradford has Steven Jackson and Amendola. Luck has Reggie Wayne. Mark Sanchez has Santonio Holmes and Shonn Greene. Ding Ding Ding!
Bullshit. We have to praise someone for doing what he is supposed to do? Sanchez was the fifth pick in the draft and got paid a fuck ton of money. He is SUPPOSED to perform like he did vs Buffalo. When he sucks, we don't have to have praised him to be permitted to criticize him. You don't deserve praise for doing what you are supposed to do. If you go above and beyond, then yeah. But if you perform below expectations, you deserve whatever you get.
The offense around Sanchez is garbage. Name one bright spot offensively outside of the line on the Jets offense.
0 elite players at skill position on our offense. We don't have a gamebreaker so don't expect game breaking plays. We get more this year due to Sparano's chunk yardage ideas, but we don't have a gamebreaker let alone an leite player
i remember the play... it was almost scary how he had so much trouble IMMEDIATELY after that hit. was a bit reminiscent of last year in baltimore when he got beat up.
I think we should give Sanchez another week. But I'd hate to see Tebow kept out of the game if we're losing a close fourth quarter game and Sanchez is stinking it up. That's what Tebow lives for
Are you kidding? The Jets give Sanchez the entire season because he is the better QB. You think one game, where the offense as a whole was playing terribly, is going to put heat on Sanchez? You think Holmes is going to catch Tebow's passes but not Sanchez's? Keep dreaming.
It's also what Sanchez "lives" for.Tebow is a situational player, not someone you use an entire drive OR quarter for that matter.
I make a point to ignore the Tebow trolls outright because they thrive on the attention. But yes, he has now had one outstanding game this season and one poor game this season. Well when you think about it he is probably somewhere in between those two games. But we will see. He does get excuses very often on this board and if he plays like he did yesterday then they will be trying to find another QB very soon.
I would have liked for tebow to be brought in to change the pace for more than he was sunday when sanchez was struggling. But Tebow will never be a start to finish QB. His act works by suprise, but gets picked up in quick.
Could Eli have brought the Giants back, the way he did yesterday, throwing to Holmes, Hill and Cumberland? Could we have won yesterday, if Sanchez were throwing to Nicks, Cruz and Bennett?
The sun was out. His apologists are worse than Tebow's. Maybe that's because we're in this Jets bubble of a family, but man it sure feels that way.
Sanchez didn't have a great game but you can't blame him for Holmes blowing those easy catches. There is a lot of blame to go around for the game. Acting like one rough game against a good team during the second week of the season means everything is lost is over dramatic.
