...decided to go into the locker room at the half with 2 timeouts in his pocket rather than trying to get at least a field goal with the ball on our 31 with 1:03 left in the half.
Yeah, he should have tried to move the ball into FG range to put some points on the board before halftime
Yes but it probably wouldn't have changed anything anyway with how Sanchez was throwing the ball after he got hit a little. Just logically it would have been nice to see them try because you KNEW the defense was going to allow more points in the second half.
No, the last thing we wanted to do was risk a turnover. The defense hadn't completely self destructed yet and it was only a one possession game at that time.
Thank you, I couldn't believe that the Jets with a chance to get some momentum back after the Steelers took the lead didn't go after it and at least try a FG, plus the Jets got the ball back to start the 2nd half, the Jets could of put up 10 quick points, but the Jets just laid down and got pushed around
Its obvious Rex knew that Sanchez had gone into pussy-pussy land by that time and was not leading a down-field scoring drive
In hindsight maybe, but at the time I was OK with it because the Jets were getting the ball at the start of the 2nd half. Keep it close, make adjustments and come out strong. Obviously that didn't happen so it definitely looks bad, but the offense wasn't exactly rolling at that point, so it wasn't like he killed any momentum...
Definitely was disappointed, but I didn't really think it was a bad choice. What if Sanchez threw a pick? I do agree that they need to take the handcuffs off of him though.
Should have been slinging it around after the first drive where Sanchez looked great. Don't forget about the drops, but I didn't think Sanchez played well today. He did miss a couple of throws pretty badly.
