Dumervil and VonMiller are both better than any pass rusher the Jets have. Champ Baily is still very, very good and Tracy Porter is no slouch. I'd give the Broncos the edge in both of those categories tbh.
I don't think Champ is as good as Cromartie is even but Von Miller could be the best pass rusher in the AFC. They also tackled well which is something we have to do better then we did last week. Also the last time we played the Steelers in the AFCCG our tackling was atrocious in the first half.
That's what it's going to come down to, can these two guys put pressure on big Ben. If they can get consistent pressure we have a great shot.
Do people forget that Champ Bailey is one of the best cornerbacks of all time? Kind of mind boggling to me...
Its really going to come down to how our guys up front get it done. I'm praying coples and mo wilk can pressure big ben. On offense our o-line has to come up big to protect sanchez. Sorry I just don't see our running game doing anything this game.
Don't worry no body does, wonder why we haven't seen Bilal out there getting more reps. Hes a better blocker, has better hands, and cant do much worse than Greene running the ball.
No of course not its just he is old as all hell. He still has great technique, he can play physical at the line, and is a good tackler. He has definitely lost a step though. Not saying I wouldn't want him on my team cus I would in a heart beat but I'd take Cromartie over Bailey this season.
Good God I HATE the Steelers! Lived in Myrtle Beach SC for 20 years and there fans are all over the place! Steelers crap on even at 11 P.M. in Wallmart! Anywho...... time for Wilson to show us what Revis has taught him! I think were going to be fine.
With Cro, Wilson, AND Revis on the bench, the Broncs had little trouble squashing Big Ben 5 times and winning the game. And the Sqeelers didn't have to divert 30% of their prep time to Tebow and they were STILL squashed like a drunken squirrel crossing Rt 90 at rush hour. Jets 22 Tebow 3 Pit 12
Lets hope he can stay away from fighting or throwing balls at guys that might beat him . . .you know like at practice on MORE than one occassion this pre-season
He is fast and so are the Steelers receivers but I highly doubt he has the coverage skills, but wallace does run one route and thats the fly, with safety help over the top it could work
Is this what it feels like to be the other 31 teams and their secondaries? I think we'll be fine. Revis is obviously the focal point of our defense but I think we'll be fine. I believe in Cromartie and I think he'll do just fine, My only worry is our slot CB/3rd string CB. but like I said, every other team does this week in and week out and I think Rex will do a great job of masking our (now/temporary) "weakness" of our secondary...compared to our usual standard, that is.
Yeah, we better have a ton of exotic blitzes coming on every play if McKnight steps foot on the field to play corner.
