Just got home from work, got the music blasting while looking at youtube, and found these gems. I love the history of the game. Joe Namath is a BOSS! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cm_Kz9UfRAo http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=endscreen&v=IZxIywwP8Ng&NR=1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZCZSF79o4g&feature=relmfu Wish I was alive back then when shit was real!
Enjoy my JET brutha', ENJOY!!! As a lil' snot-nose ghetto kid, I became a JET-JUNKIE in '67 (due to my pops infatuation with all things Shea -may he 4-ever RIP-) & watched 'em win (on TV) SB3!!! I was a Namath-fanatic; dude was so smooooth, mofo' had NY-gargantuan-sized balls guaranteeing a victory over the 'Dolts!!! Dude lemme tell ya', it was GREAT to be a NY sports fan between '68 to '73! Jets, Mets, Knicks and even the teams I played on in the NYC CYO basketball league (the '71' OLQA Angels) & the East Harlem Buddy Young football league (the '72 Ravens) won the "GOLD"! Mannn, NY Sports RUUUUUULED "back in the day"!
No I said it right the first time. I think his whole career he only threw more TD then int once. That sucks.
This type of behavior should be decorated, here's to ya! Good mojo for this weekend NJGREEN. I was only 4 years old in '69 so I didn't get the full enjoyment part of the game itself, but I do remember feeding off the joy and celebration going on in my house by my family and their friends that were over that day thoroughly losing it through that whole game. One of these years, it will be so again.
Unfortunately, I was -4 in 1969, so I really didn't get the enjoy our lone SB victory. But I am a Jets fan. I am forever hopeful and proud of the Green'n'White. I do remember the New York Sack Exchange tho.... And that devastating BS loss the Cleveland. I've had mixed feelings about Gastineau even since.
I honestly dont even remember posting this last night, LOL! But I just ordered that, I cant thank you enough for that!
You need to be high to watch that game. One of the most important in NFL history, but goddamn what a snoozer
