The offence is still a little suspect to me, but sunday we will truly see where our offense truly is. I am expecting a close game but we will beat the steelers due to our superior defence shutting ben down. I think the game plan is focused on containing ben. I think our offense will be good enough to put points up some points but I am expecting a low scoring slugfest fought in the trenches. By week five I think our only loss will be San Fransisco. I am no football guru by any means but I just got this gut feeling....
Actually, even during the playoff game, remember that Steelers offense scored only 17 on Jets D. Sanchez fumble led to the last score, and the winning margin. By the offense, both teams scored identical 17 points. That is, when Schottenheimer ran the offense. Here's small hoping Jets D can still hold the Steelers O to 17 points - if Sparano is any better than Schottenheimer, Jets O will score more than 17. (Or that's my take on it.) P.S. Even on the win, Jets won 22-17. The defense held their own on both cases - I hope the defense holds their own this time as well.
It's possible. Steelers are banged up and vulnerable. This just might be the best time all year to face them. The Dolphins, well, they're the new Bills. Texans will be a tough matchup but we should have Shaub's number. San Fran will probably be the toughest game out of them all, because of their D, but I do think that's a favorable matchup for us. Alex Smith is good, but he's no Tom Brady. The D can contain him. BUT one thing's for certain if we're going 4-1. We need to tighten up that run D. Reggie Bush, Arian Foster, and Frank Gore are no joke! Even a weakened Mendenhall is decent. We need to stop the run and let our secondary do its job.
I wasn't talking about the Steelers. They seem to be the most vulnerable team we play in the next four games that's not based in South Beach. If we finish the next four games at 5-1, there's no way we don't contend for the title. I don't even give a shit about the Pats games anymore.
I still don't think Sanchez fumbled. I think our D will slow down their run game but Big Ben always gives us problems with his ability to create. Heath Miller will have a big game so we'll need to slow him down and hopefully our LB's and safetys are up to it.
God help us if we end up with a loss, fans will be jumping off bridges. Great win Sunday but it's one game and no one should be going overboard about this team just yet. ONE GAME AT A TIME !!!'
LoL, all I know is that I love this team. I wont even pretend I know what a spread offense is or a fucking tampa two!
You might as well be talking to the cat.. The Koolaide is flowing this week bigtime. Perhaps spiked with Stoly.. I agree. lets see how Pittsburgh plays out before we buy our PO/SB tickets.
Both teams are facing top ranked defenses and have to be a bit worried about scoring points. I predict the game ends: 21-17
It's possible. The Jets should beat Miami. Then there are 3 games against tough teams, 2 at home. If you think the Jets are a good team, they can definitely be 4-1, winning 2 of the 3 more difficult games.
thats the teams mentality but you cant expect fans to behave the same because there is so much time in between games
