Sounds like this one is going to linger for a while. I'd give him the Dolphins week off ... Cumberland can do a lot of similar things and it would be good for him to get experience.

Not surprised. Knew something was up when he didn't practice today. Should have never played against the Bills.

This week is going to depend a lot on Sanchez and our WRs. If revis is out I don't think our D is going to have a good day.

This is Keller's contract year.....and could be his last year as a JEt.

It'd be nice to see Sanchez have some chances to build a report with someone other than Keller. Not saying Cumberland is 'that guy', but he played pretty good against the Jills (except for Mark's int).

Plus, the less Keller plays the fewer ESPN highlight reals he has to negotiate with. Every game Keller misses knocks a few $100K off his next contract.

i agree. i'd sit keller for the dolphins game too. need him back 100%. hamstrings linger. i also think teams will sleep on cumberland. we really don't know what he can do. he does have talent.

Agree with those that said Keller should have never played last week. His lack of mobility was evident. I understand using him as a decoy to open up WR's but he wasn't even healthy enough to be a decoy.

Not having Thomas or Keller would definitely hurt. Steelers will give us a heavy dose of Jonathan Dwyer, who looks good, if Thomas is out. Run defense will be effected and Jeff Cumberland is no DK.

It's a hamstring, it will probably longer for most, if not all, of the season. I like seeing Cumberland step up, but Baker would have been another nice fallback option. We're now very thin at TE

Well this is Cumberland's chance if Keller doesn't suit up. The WRs will need to continue their production then. This is a type of game where Sanchez should rely on Holmes, but can Sanchez really rely on him for 60 minutes is the question.

Isn't it amazing how good sanchez was w/o keller anywhere close to 100% and w/o a really good game from Holmes.

Yeah, Keller was playing like he was hurt and Tone was getting mugged at the line and still Mark made some serious plays.

Definitely a good sign. If we see that again this week, we're in for something special this season, assuming the pass protection holds up.

this is soooo hindsight. Leading up to the game we thought the Bills would have been a more formitable opponent. Its easey to play Monday morningQB ect. That said, he should have never saw the field after half time.

Cumberland seems like a fine fill in for Keller so not overly concerned there.

Trufant having a bad ankle is an issue if Revis is out.

They line will need to pressure Ben...if they let him sit he is going to pick the secondary apart.

While the stats weren't there. I think he had 4 catches for 60 something yards I still think Holmes had a good game. One of Sanchez's only mistakes was missing Holmes WIDE open deep across the middle of the field. Would have been a very big gain and maybe a TD. Then of course the TD where his hand hit the ground first. It was a great catch and ability to get his feet down just has to be more aware of his hand.

All in all I was happy with what I saw from Holmes. The TDs and bigger days will come if he plays that way. He wasn't take plays off which is really important to me.

I'm less concerned about pressures from the line than I am the secondary holding up if Revis is out. With or without Trufant.

I'm more concerned about pressure from the line if Revis is out. Our secondary won't be able to keep up all day if they give Ben time. With that OL injured and struggling we have to find a way to get to Ben quick. I want to see Coples playing on the inside a lot this game and matching up with their guards.

I'm not sure why you're concerned about the line. They will get pressure on Ben because of the flux on their offensive front. But BR knows how to escape pressure and find an open man. That is why the secondary is an issue.

And if the Bills were a more formidable opponent, that would have been worse, since Keller really wasn't able to do much. If the Bills defense was on top of it's game (LOL) then Sanchez would have to rely on the TE a lot more, and Keller doing his weekend at Bernie's routine on the field would not have helped, and might have put him at risk for even further injury.

it sounds like keller may not play, he's not practicing today and we signed a TE(according to all the tweets at the top of the page).
