What is sad is that Rex still hasn't figured out how to stop saying stupid shit that can be twisted to mean whatever you want it to mean.

If he wanted to make a complement to Tanny and Hill all he had to say was that he really wasn't looking at WR in the 2nd round, but Tanny saw something in Hill, and it looka like a great move.

No, he not only says that he wasn't big on getting a WR, but Hill showed him absolutely nothing on film as a college player. Why say this?

What's sad is that people actually think what Rex says matters. OMG Rex said something in a way the media could twist it and come up with a dumb ass story. As if that somehow has any bearing on his ability to coach an NFL team.

Just because Belichick is a douchebag who won't say anything doesn't mean it's the only way to do things.

That's a typical touchy response. Nobody would argue that BB is a douche with the media, especially right after games.

I really could care less what rex has to say about anything. However, folks on here say they are tired of hearing negative media driven shit. Well, as long as Rex and the players want to keep feeding the sharks, then you just have to live with folks twisting shit around.

I don't think any of my comments suggest that any of Rex's comments reflect on his ability as a coach. That's just a defensive reaction on your part.

Haven't you heard, Rex is a great coach?

would you rather have doucehbag Belichick who wins super bowls or Rex Ryan who talks shit nonstop and doesn't win anything?

You said it's sad that Rex hasn't figured out how to stop saying shit the media can twist. That implies that it matters, does it not? Rex doesn't give a shit.

Stupid people that want to buy the media drivel are going to do what they want. Who gives a fuck?

I am a fan of Rex, but one of his faults as a head coach is his inability to recognize offensive talent, inability to draft offensive talent and inability to coach offense period. That is why we are such a one dimensional team. top 5 defense and bottom 5 offense. Rex would draft defense every round if the front office didn't stop him.

I thought I recalled an interview where Rex regretted the SB guarantees

You are correct. in fact I think Rex does regret some of the things he has said in the past.

I tend to agree with those who say who cares what the media says. And yet.... And yet...

I have to wonder what the players think sometimes. Nobody wants to be laughed at. Yeah, that can be a motivator, but it can also cause some to have doubts. It's a cause for some, if not a lot, of concern.

I originally thought this upcoming Bills game was going to be 17-14, but upon hearing these comments, I pick 42-0 Bills.

Was Rex playing possum? He must've known what the team had with Hill and that he was going to be a major part of the game plan. So does he manipulate the media so Buffalo is unprepared?

I hate speculating like this, but it seems plausible given the timing of the statement and Hill's breakout. Am I giving Rex too much credit?

People forgets he does manipulate the media at times because he says some dumb things at other times.

I always say his greatest trick before the 10 Pats playoff game was making everyone forget about 45-3. He let his players say whatever they wanted probably hoping that would be the focus, said it was personal between him and the Pats, and all the other stuff. Everyone forgot about 45-3. The greatest trick he played on the media.

And thanks for having our back Keyshawn.

That was one of my happiest football weeks, like, ever. I had Cowboys and Texans fans walking up to me with Bart's postgame queued up the next day.

I live 1500 miles away and could still feel the anguish in Boston.

It was hard to see Rex doing his thing at the time, but that team would have beaten anyone that night. Masterful from press to locker room.
