Absolute complete bullshit. We score 48 points and can't even place in the top 10-15: http://espn.go.com/nfl/powerrankings/_/year/2012/week/2
Humiliating an offseason darling team isn't showing anyone? I don't care about power rankings but they showed everyone they are better than the 17th best team in the league.
Ryan Fitzpatrick gave the Jets the blowout. They were probably going to win on the day no matter what, because the Bills don't play well against them and don't play well in NJ, but Ryan Fitzpatrick is why the Bills were beaten so badly.
Giants are 10-10 in their last 20...can't run the ball at all (no different than last season), have a banged up secondary, and got torched by the Cowboys. They should have dropped out of the top 10 easily.
Isn't it just a bit early for Power Rankings? I mean, the league really hasn't settled in yet as it takes about a month for real patterns to develop. Its nice that the Jets are ranked 17th, but really, after one game does that mean anything other than we had a good first game? We got 16 weeks left to play this out so lets start counting the Power Rankings after say, weeks 5 thru 8 ?
I have a good feeling about this weekend. I have a good feeling about our schedule. I have a GRRRREAT feeling about our team. Our defense is dominant. Our offense just might be more explosive than everyone thought.
I have the feeling that this year the power rankings won't mean anything except for the top few and bottom few until the new trade deadline passes. MJD is probably going to move unless Jacksonville is a lot better than they look right now. Carson Palmer could easily move again, with the Raiders trying to get a pick back if they're not rolling in the AFC West and Peyton Manning is. Larry Fitzgerald could move in a blockbuster. That's just the fantasy players that might be on the block in a mid-season auction to the contenders. There'll be other guys on the move also once teams that are out of it see ways to improve their position moving forward. Nobody is out of it at the 6 game mark but a third of the league is by mid-season.
yep, we did nothing to confuse him. It was all charity thanks to Ryan Fitz. The "experts" knew who Buf's QB was and the majority picked them ahead of us. Last meeting in the meadowlands we barely one thanks to Johnson dropping the GW TD pass in the final minute.
It was one game the Jets come out and suck next week the SOJF will be littering these boards. The Jets need to keep winning the rest will take care of itself. The feeling amongst non Jet fans is not that the Jets are better than advertised but the Bills are lot worse than advertised.
The media was reminded not to over-rate a team based on one or two offseason additions when we slammed Buffalo back down to reality on Sunday, a team that the Jets OWN. They're not going to move from 22 to the Top 10 with a home win against a team that was regarded by some as a Wildcard team and as others as a Wildcard contender, they're just not. Now, if you go into Pittsburgh and beat Pittsburgh and then don't get into the Top 10? That's disrespect, but who at the end of the day, who really gives a shit? Power rankings don't mean a damn thing.
