That may have been his best catch, because that appeared to be a very poorly thrown ball to a wide open receiver.
That was criminal. I couldn't believe that there were no other angles provided on the broadcast to get a better look at that, how many fricking cameras do they have in that place and that's the only one that caught that play? The thing that annoyed me was the line judge was standing there arguing with Rex. If the guy throws a red flag, STFU and get the guy with the white cap over there.
New York Jets @nyjets #JetsStats: On Sunday Jeremy Kerley became the 1st player in Jets history with a punt return TD & a receiving TD in the same game.
Yeah and I think we returned a punt for a TD in the 04 play offs against the Steelers. It was once again from Santana Moss who returned it and the ref fell running along side him on the side lines.
I was in the upper deck too around the 20 but I was on the other end and other side of the field from the play so from my view I was sort of behind the ball and it looked like the defender was in perfect position between Kerley and the ball - couldn't tell that it had just the right height on it to get over the defender and into Kerley's hands until I watched it on TV later - awesome play.
Kerley has great quickness and I always get the feeling he's a move or two away from breaking one. I think he came close to doing it last season. I remember him returning a punt inside somebody's 10 yard line and we wound up coming away with no points. Raider game maybe? Can someone check my memory?
People said Rex was too harsh for calling out Kerley in public. Looks like it was the proper motivation he needed. So far so good.
I thought I remember Kerley with a kickoff return TD against the Ravens. I can't remember the other one, but yeah, probably Raiders.
